Yeah these ticks happen. Do your manifolds have the heat shield covers on them? Because the manifolds tend to split vertically right down the middle and one can see the crack, when the heat shields are removed. It happened to my 2019, as sown in the red box in the photo below.
Anyways, I hope...
I believe I installed it properly, unless the inlet and outlet are mislabeled on the can? Or is the sintered filter not allowing flow through it?
That is a fair amount of oil in that can, makes me wonder about mine.
So after I cleaned the throttle body to address the random drops into neutral, I installed an oil catch can on mine, assuming it must be blow by that made the throttle body dirty. In the past year when I have checked the can, it has been dry and clean. I don't know why my throttle body was...
When I replaced the rack, yes it was indeed "plug and play". Let me know if you need any more information, like the R&R procedure, would be happy to provide it.
Did yours actually seize up? I am curious because when the electronics on mine stopped working and killed the power assist, I was...
Try cleaning the throttle body thoroughly. It works for some of us. Mine hasn't dropped into neutral in about a 1.5 years since I cleaned the throttle body.
This website might help, it is a calculator with visuals for wheel and/or tire changes. It helped me make some decisions with modifications to my Rebel.
You'll need the following rim information from stock Rebel rims (FYI I took this information directly from backside of my stock Rebel Rims)...
Does anyone know if the shaft in steering racks have teeth that are variable pitch or even pitch?
For those with questions.
I replaced my dead rack last year with a rebuilt unit, which at the the time appeared to be the only unit available in the entire country for the off road group with...
I agree with Ruben-Ram5th 1500 on cleaning the throttle body. I was getting the drop into neutral fairly regularly, then on some advice I got on here, cleaned mine well over a year ago, and it has not dropped into neutral since. It wasn't even very dirty IMO.
Although I've heard from others...
Looks like the Method 316 has a 5.75" backspacing which might hit the UCA. Try giving Method a call on Monday and ask if they fit.
Also, 18" rims will fit our 5th gen Rams. I put aftermarket 18" rims on, and when I bought them the company was really concerned they might hit the calipers on the...
How to remove the center console, which should get access to the LF antenna.
Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s) (Refer to 08 - Electrical/Battery System/Standard Procedure) .

PROGRAMMING THE RF-HUB and KEY FOBS
NOTE: An erase programmed key procedure is provided within the wiTECH service tool. A Personal Identification Number (PIN) is required to erase original fobs. If programmed fobs are erased accidentally, then original programmed fobs can be reprogrammed to...
Thank you for posting the photos of the old rear window. Is what I'm seeing in photo 0885, a crack in the upper frame and the lower frame? So both sides of the frame?
I cleaned only the throttle body. But now that I think about it, around the same time I also had the battery disconnected for some other work, not sure if that also affected it? Maybe a "reboot" of the computer?
I hope this works! I also hope you get the same results I did. I took mine apart over a year ago, and cleaned it like I had a crippling case of OCD, and it has not dropped into neutral since. So it has been good for over a year now.
Oh yeah, ouchy hot. Years ago, I was changing plugs on a hot engine, (engine was off), and accidentally laid my palm on a still hot header tube, and it made one huge burn, medium rare I'd say.
It kinda look like the tires were changed? Are both rims 18"? Went from low profile to higher profile? Is it also possible that the newer tires fill more of the wheel wells and it looks lower?
Finding clunks can be very frustrating. I also replaced my sway bar mount bushings with polyurethane,, and silicon grease, and the noise was still there. I bought my truck used, it was a rental so I figured why not replace suspension parts as it was probably abused. Reminds me of an old joke...
