Uconnect 5 FOTA S23.13 - Released 02/02/22

Does anyone know how to get into the "engineering mode" screens on the UC5 in a 22 Ram?
Can't get the wifi activated, and trying to find the IMEI and ICCID of the hotspot.
On S23.13 revision.

Have tried multiple ways in the past, but they do not work on this new system.

I just got a used truck and was looking at the updates for my screen and if you have the 12 in one you press the bottom left and the bottom right edges together and hold untill it goes into dealer mode. do not press the buttons on the screen it has to be below them.

That didn't quite work. Even touching the very bottom edges, a touch there acts like its wanting to move the icons and rearrange them..

Must be a very well kept guarded secret. UCONNECT would not give it up.

Doesn't work on my 2022 12" screen. I get the same results you do.

UPDATE! There is no key sequence to the Engineering Screens on a Ram 1500 MY22 Uconnect 5.
Dealer has to hook it to a pc to obtain the information within.
Was trying to access the hotspot info because of the idiots at AT&T.

is this the correct screen to check for version? If not, where do I go? I have alot of the issues mentioned in this thread.

We're happy to share that as of this morning (December 9th, 2021), TSB 08-180-21 was released as an informational bulletin regarding the latest Flash Over The Air (FOTA) software update. Uconnect sends Firmware-Over-The-Air (FOTA) updates to vehicles equipped with built-in cellular modems within range of U.S. or Canadian cellular networks, in an effort to add new features or fix bugs. For your convenience, we've included a snippet of the TSB and the symptoms/conditions that it intends to address, below. *Please note the applicable vehicle build dates and sales codes.

FOTA Tips
  • Have access to good cellular coverage
  • Enable a Key Off Power Off Delay in your Uconnect 5 system settings to allow the radio time to search the cloud for updates, once your ignition is cycled off
  • Schedule your FOTA for the evening when you're less likely to be utilizing your vehicle and it's connected services.
After FOTA is Completed
  • Wait about 40 minutes with their vehicle OFF (and with key fobs away from vehicle) to allow the radio to enter a "deep sleep" mode. This will mitigate the chances of any interruptions during the download process.
  • App-Over-The-Air (AOTA) will trigger, which refreshes internal radio apps. As your radio syncs with the cloud during this AOTA update time, your connected services and apps may work intermittently, and may take up to 24-48 hours to return to full functionality.
    • Some of these services include your WiFi hotspot, remote demands through the Ram App, etc.
  • You may have to re-pair your phones, reset your radio station presets, or delete & re-pair your Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connection

If you're not sure if you've received the latest software update, there are 2 ways to find your current Uconnect 5 software information:
  • VEHICLE option from App Drawer --> Settings --> System Information --> Version Information

  • APP option from App Drawer --> Settings --> Version Information

May I ask what I never received a single update? Mine 2022 limited truck still with the S21.D5 since day 1. Any tips that I am able to receive the software update? also if the lastest version can solve the issue of my digital review mirror went black and reboot multiple times and became unavailable?

Finally the first OTA update!!! Happened probably 3 days after the 3rd or 4th time I’ve performed a factory reset. So if at first it isn’t fixed keep trying? What an exhausting process. @RamCares this would’ve been much easier with a USB. 😁

First thing when I pick up the car at the dealer is checking the firmware version and if not most recent doing a factory reset.

The issue is it didn’t fix anything and broke the weather again!

@RamCares , what was this supposed to do? When will you fix the climate shortcuts? When will you fix the weather? When will you stop sending notices about how much you miss me being signed up for your crappy app?
