Tire Options for 22' Limited Wheels with No Lift/Level

how much are we talking? I expect a 1-2 MPG loss..

On this same topic, it seems my limited isnt even getting the promised MPGs from the window sticker to begin with :(
I lost about 3 mpg and I bought the same size as OEM.

Sadness, im looking at 285/55/22 so Ill prepare for the same + some
Yeah, I was surprised. I didn't realize Discount Tire sold me an LT tire until I noticed my poor gas mileage. I was hell bent on finding XL tires for my Ram.

me too man but it doesnt look like there are any good options...I even looked at the options for the 20s

Try a 285/55r22 ridge grappler. I just put em on with adjustable front links and front Daystar spacers, you'll have zero rub even in aero. Without the level, you may have to do some light modification.

Did you have to trim any of teh canister posts/bolts? Any issues when bringing it in for a warranty? Wanna go with the links and spacers but do not want to completely **** myself out of my extended warranty or make any fabrication to the vehicle.

I run 305/45r22 on stock Laramie rims. I leveled the front with 2 inch motofab spacers. No rub at all. I added 2 inch wheel spacers and had a slight rub when going in reverse on the small “mud flap”looking piece behind the front tires. I took them off and no rub what so ever. If that helps anyone.
Can you post pics? This is what I am going for

Anyone had the Toyo ATIII in the snow yet ? I travel a lot of snowy highway and looking for the best tire.
Toyo AT3 305/45/22 great in snow. I have 10K miles on them and only complaint so far is they seem to wear a little fast. I keep PSI 38-40 and rotate every 5K miles. Tread seems to be worn about 30-40% already

That's concerning. I just put them on, one reason being all the glowing reviews on them and the AT2's lasting a ridiculously long time.

On another note in this thread, I did have some rubbing of the liners on full lock. Used a heat gun to reshape them a bit and was all good.

Has anyone done the "chalk test" on these tires or this size? I'm running them at the door tag of 36psi and they seem to have a tiny bit of sidewall bulge. Thinking they may need to be higher.

I’m running at 40. Had sidewall budge at 36

Stock size tires, but I'm at 40 psi as well. According to the drywall dust in my driveway from one of our bathroom remodels, it's pretty obvious they're all making full contact.

been looking at the Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 in 285/55r22 anybody run these?

I just put Nexen Roadian AT Pros on this morning. So far they are great in the snow and they have the 3 peak severe duty rating. Also roughly half the price of the Toyo's.

i like those too, but would prefer a bigger sidewall for a smoother ride. 305/45's are a bit too thin for me.

Problem with 22's is 285/45 and 305/45 are basically it for XL tires. You want a sidewall ratio over 45 you gotta go LT, which will most likely more than cancel out any ride comfort increase you get from the bigger sidewall.

If you have other reasons you want LT tires then it doesn't matter.

The 305 is almost 1/2'' taller than the 285 in the 45 series. Not a ton but its something.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Sticks out a little more too without having to use spacers/offset.

Once my level is done and my current tires are worn down some I will probably go for Toyo AT3's in 305.

I thought about swapping wheels down to 20 (or in even 18) but idk. Kind of a hassle. Tires are narrower (bigger than 275 and you're at LT). And I really like my wheels!
