I don't want any of that AI crap in my truck. I hate copilot on my computer, and I hate Facebooks AI too. if I get to the point I can't think for myself then put me 6 foot under.
just saying.
My reference to AI had nothing to do with what is included in your truck.

Customer service will be greatly improved with AI. The person who actually talked to a customer service person likely only got information that is readily accessed and assessed both of which is highly imperfect and takes time to get. AI will allow customers to get better, more complete information, more quickly.

I didn't have unrealistic expectations. actually, just the opposite. but I did not expect to get my truck 6 months after I ordered it. and by the way it's still not scheduled.
I have never waited this long as I custom order my trucks and have for over 20 years. never once even on a new release did I wait this long. the longest one was 9 weeks.
what I and others think is that ram would rather build trucks that sit on lots and cost money than build the ones that will not be at the dealers 2 days. poor business practices and a really ****ty release of a truck in my opinion then to top it off there is no communication from anyone! and I ordered my truck from my local dealer not one of the sponsors of the boards. I didn't even know about this forum until after I ordered my Ram limited.
Everyone has been warned multiple times over that production on new 2025's was a guess at best.
If you know yourself well enough to know this would be an issue, you should have just gotten a production model or an incoming one from a dealer.

The world has changed since 2020. The last 4 years have been "unexpected delays" and "extended wait times". I guess you havent noticed?
I dont disagree that it sucks. Im getting ready to order my RHO and expecting "sometime this year" as the delivery isnt fun either. I just dont see what complaining about something you knew was reality, is going to accomplish now?

Sometimes, I think this forum is a great stress reliever for some of us. Its let's us get some of our frustration out to others who are feeling the same pain. To my friends who are waiting for their trucks, my order for a Tungsten went in on Feb 11, 2024. I check this page every day and read the comments. I am fortunate enough to be able to afford a nice truck. While I can't say that I enjoy the wait, it does make the delivery day a lot more exciting because I have anticipated that day for a looonnngg time. It makes me appreciate the truck all the more.

We all should consider ourselves blessed to able to afford such nice vehicles. The delivery day will be a lot more enjoyable for those of us who've endured the wait, than the ones who have just bought off of the lot.

So, sit back, relax, and savor a smooth drink and count your blessings my friends! Happy Fathers Day.

Got a call from local RAM dealer yesterday not my regular dealer and he noticed I had spoken to someone awhile back who is no longer there about the '25 Limited. He said they are expecting shipments of Limiteds in July and I asked if they would have the A equipment group. He asked, what is that. I said about everything a Limited owner would want. Unlike his well informed predecessor he and his dealership are no longer on my possible dealer list.

I went to my local ram dealer to custom order a truck. He showed me that it is impossible to order a limited level A technology package or a multi function tailgate. It just won’t let you select those options.

For people who previously ordered when it was “possible” or select those things, that’s probably why your vehicle hasn’t been built. He had no idea when they would become available but he’s going to keep an eye on it and let me know once it becomes possible.

When will this nightmare end?

Dealer told me yesterday that I went to D1 status and should have dates soon (i think technically D1 means that you are scheduled). That said the website doesnt really show anything new although ive read in these pages that it lags by a week or 2. I ordered a tungsten in mid april and clicked all the boxes including the multifunction tailgate although i didnt get off road package. Not going to hold my breath.

That’s at least a step in right direction. I want to order a Tungsten, with MFT too. Sounds like you - i wasn’t going for off road or the 2Kw power. I was originally going to order a limited, but once I priced it out with all the extras, it was very close to Tungsten.
Have been toying with going back to Limited but not without Group A.
Amazing that end of 2 quarter is days away and they’re still holding back like this.

Tungsten, with MFT
I'm waiting another six to nine months when the RamCharger finally comes out. Any idea if the MFT can be upgraded to include the power close option in the standard Tungsten tailgate? Obviously not for the barn door feature, but when simply opened like a normal tailgate...

I don’t know. I figured the barn door hinges on the sides would preclude the motor/gears for the power close. But boy, that would be the cats meow!

I’m interested in the Ramcharger too, but going to give it a couple of years to shake out.
If Biden wins we’ll probably have to turn in our evil ICE vehicles anyway.

This might not be the right thread, but .... it's been getting quiet. :)
Trying to understand the Uconnect costs, and could they make it any more complicated? I'm coming from a 2014 system where there was just one system/package and one cost (and after the trial period of 1 year, I didn't pay for it). Now subscriptions are all the rage and a big money-maker. Unfortunately.

So does anyone have experience or advice in this area? Maybe help fill in the blanks?
Looks like three (or four) main packages:
- Safety & Security: 10 years free trial, cost after that?
- Vehicle Performance: 5 year free trial? cost after that?
- Assistance & Nav (can be separate): 3 or 6 month free trial?, $25/mo or $275/yr

Thoughts on value?

Is the hands-free driving cost rolled into the Assistance & Nav, or is it yet another cost?
UPDATE: Jeep information says this is 3 year trial, and Stellantis hasn't released pricing after that. Sounds like this is on top of the above packages. Wow.

(and to open a can of worms, what happens to the hands-free driving assist when AutoDrive comes out next year?)

FYI: On June 1, my truck got D1 status and on June 24 it still isn't showing "scheduled" on the "tracker" I can see from my account.

I also ordered a Tungsten in mid-April. I just called my dealer. Mine is still in D status. He didn't really say anything that we don't already know. I told him that I expect to receive the truck in August (best) to October (worst) based on what I'm seeing. He said, "I really don't think it will be October". He's been super transparent and honest with me so far, and he's been around 30+ years at this dealership. Hoping he's right and we see these trucks before October.

My guess is that when they open up ordering again for Tungsten, you can assume it's breaking loose. I know it's a big assumption, but gotta have something to hang onto. When they open up the ordering again, I'll place my order and let everyone know.
