2025 Ram 1500 Order Updates

I’ve been on hold ordering a 2025. When I tried in early October to order a loaded Laramie with the Sport package, the order wouldn’t go through. The dealer didn’t put forth a lot of effort in finding out why. After a few days, it was determined that Ram was not producing trucks in Forged Blue with the Sport package…or Night Edition for that matter. Only four colors were available with these two packages…. white, black, silver or red. Not the other five colors available.

I confirmed this at another dealer, who was much more helpful. SM called his regional SM, who confirmed that these two packages are only available on the four basic colors. Supposedly they will be produced, but no indication of when. I find this pretty strange, since the configurator shows the other colors are available with the packages. The online brochures show examples of the other five colors with Sport or Night. There are online videos showing these combinations as well.

Does anyone have contacts that can find out when the colors will be available with Sport or Night? The restrictions seem to apply to Limiteds as well. It’s frustrating, for sure. I can wait for awhile, but I’ll need a truck by April, which probably means I need to order in January or February.

What you learned matches my understanding as well - Forged Blue and Steel Storm are not available on Limited, Tungsten, or any other trim with body color trim (i.e., Sport, Night). I have tried multiple times, multiple ways since the beginning of this year to get an answer about availability. Early on, they said it would be "late availability." Since this past summer, they've just flat refused to provide any answer. I think Anthony at Mark Dodge has a number of people on a waiting list, and will let us know if/when it comes off restriction.
I'll follow this, in hopes that someone is able to shed new light on this!

At the rate they are going currently, I would not assume that ordering in Jan/Feb would get you a delivery by April (regardless of color). Check the signature blocks of some of us in this forum, and see how long we've been waiting.

This is probably not what you want to hear, BUT here it is:

I tried ordering a Tungsten in FBM in January. I was told that it was late availability meaning that it would be available in April or Q3 at the latest. We're in Q4. I went with the billet silver.

Retail only, lease is different.
Leases are getting some smaller rebates and so-so money factors (though Laramie and bighorn money factor is pretty nice)
Is there a reason a dealership might not be offering the low money factor rates on a Laramie these days? At the same total costs I am getting quoted $200/mo higher payment and higher initial payment than the build and price tool shows. Not a question of credit or income. I have seen that the build and price tool also shows 42mo leases being surprisingly cheaper than other term lengths but the dealership is not showing that either.

So I'm confused if the dealer isn't using the SFS subvented rates or if the online tool is ignoring money factor or something? The language online makes it sound like it includes the current rates and an approximation of taxes and fees but I guess I'm not sure.

It’s very odd, all of the inconsistencies. My local dealer has had recently ordered trucks arrive in less than four weeks. I’ve seen some on here with incredibly short times as well.

All depends - dealer could be using a different lender, CCAP, SFS.
Money factors can be marked up within a certain range, that depends on who the lender is and if the rate is subvented or not.
42 month I do think is a better combination of factors than 36 month currently.

Online tool also makes wild assumptions that are hard to view at first glance. I had a customer show me an online calculator, from Ram site, that assumed 5k miles per year and also 10% due at signing, and omitted sales tax, etc - so.... skip the online tools and target getting your whole deal under 1% of MSRP per month before your state tax/title/license. Should be achievable on a laramie.

Thanks! Yeah it's a good bit over 1% MSRP even with a big dealer discount off the top (10k) which is why I was confused because the rate seems very bad.

I made sure to align the amount down, mileage, taxes, fees, and lease timing so that is why I figured the online wouldn't be a bad reference. But sounds like dealer is adding a huge markup on the rates so I'll try to work them over a bit for it.

Looks like the truck isn't going to make the latest estimated ship date. It's still listed as in production. Assuming still JS.

I have a call in to my dealer to give me an update on order status code and newest estimated ship date.

So supposedly my rebel x is coming in at the end of November, on a second rail trip. There is a window sticker which was previously 75.9. So how does the new 4000 across the board price reduction factor into this? Anyone go through the finance office recently? Thinking of leasing at this point.

On an incentivized rate they can only mark up approx 1% if it is CCAP or SFS so that shouldn't swing TOO much. And even markup on the aq fee can only be $300 max and not on all lengths. I'd ask for a complete breakdown screenshot.

I was thinking it should be within that but the numbers don't seem to be within 1%. 70.8k MSRP, 63.8k after discount and added warranty (in the initial quote, not going to be on final). 65.4k after all fees (TBD what sticks but focusing on rate atm). For 0 down 42mo 12,000 miles they listed $930/mo, compared to ram site with the same numbers is ~710-750/mo. Also higher drive off by about $120. That difference is definitely outside of +1% on MF

I ordered my 2025 RAM Laramie in December 2024, order was accepted 6 January 2024, got my Vin in May and truck went into production on November 15, 2024. Hopefully I get it sometime in January! Talking to dealership numerous times was told, level two vehicles were not being produced at the time. Just my story.

Checked in with my dealer on Friday. Drove a limited that was almost identical to the Tungsten I ordered minus the mirrors and the Tungsten specific bells and whistles. That engine is nice, watch your speed fellas, very easy to get it up to 100 and feel like your only at 70!!

Several discussions with the sales staff about the Ram Tracker being complete garbage. Mine still shows as in production, but they show it as in storage. The estimated ship date on their printout has changed to Nov 25th (although I'm not counting on that). Build sheet and window sticker both still show unsupported VIN.

My dealer finally got back to me today. Same story. My estimated ship date is now November 25th. The tracker still lists my truck as in production and in status JS. My dealer did say he called his factory rep to see if he could get any more information but neither of us are holding our breath. Estimated delivery date on the tracker is still December 26th

I hope you get a nice Christmas present.
I have zero news. Back to where I was in July. It's honestly depressing.

Ram Tracker update. Estimated Delivery pushed to 01/26/25! 😡

Update. Dealer called me today and said my truck is at the end train car destination(Twin Oaks) near Philly. Two hours away. Maybe the end is near. Hopefully. Dealer offering an extra $2k on trade in and expires Nov 30th. LFG already. If they honor Chrysler Capital lesses for the FCA US leases that’s an extra $2k as well for total of $7k in rebates plus the $2k extra trade in special. Maybe Anthony can help with the Chrysler Capital lease vs FCA US. I am purchasing the Ram kit leasing though. I believe it still applies. I’ll keep you all in the loop. Good luck on your orders.

Back to the future?

Lol sorry, don't mean to give you a hard time this early on (check your dates). Welcome to the forum!

I checked with my dealer today. My truck shows E: Frame status now! it's kind of backward (It was F: paint status two weeks ago). Does anyone know or have a same experience? I'm assuming there was an issue with the paint so they rejected it and made a frame again, is this correct assumption?
