Several times now, my ‘20 Laramie 8.4 Nav radio refuses to turn off. Normally it shuts down when I turn the truck off, and open the door. Lately, on occasion, the radio stays on, the radio power button does nothing, and the five lights on the drivetrain mode button panel (next to the shift...
Put on the Mopar mud flaps a while ago, and am more and more annoyed by the fact that the rears turn into 2 liter water bottles in the rain! Tne morning after I park in the garage after driving in the rain, there’s a large puddle on each side, as the water (painfully) slowly drips out at the...
My 20 Laramie 4x4 w/3.92 and limited slip, just now at around 17k, started making an occasional small binding sound when turning sharply either way. First thought it was Auto AWD or something in the front not disengaging, but determined the noise/vibe did not seem to come from the front.
Then...
Couple questions on using alphaOBD on a 20 Laramie:
- is there a setting to enable an Active Air Dam?
- is there a way to enable the off-road screens?
- is there a way to enable the NAV keyboard while in motion (and not screw anything else up)?
- is there a way to raise the speed at which the...
Hoping I’m proven wrong, but I took it as gospel what some said about there being an engine oil cooler built into the radiator in the 5.7 1500’s. Nope!
May not be true for all, but my 20 Laramie Sport 5.7 3.92 has no engine oil cooler. When changing the oil (upgraded to larger Wix filter...
Considering a cat-back exhaust system, and there are three things I require
1. Nice sound but not too much
2. Zero drone when towing
3. Not obnoxious, more aggressive than loud
So I’m after a lame upgrade - think the Mopar setup is my best bet?
Is there an AlfaOBD mod that allows:
- the memory seat positions to be selected while in motion?
- entry of destinations in Nav while moving?
Would such changes screw anything else up?
thx
You’d guys probably know the answer to these:
- where do the AAD wires terminate? Anybody have the wiring diagram for this circuit?
My truck does not have the AAD connector (by the light wiring harness and left fog light), so I’m trying to run the wires back to the fuse box or computer that...
My local dealer’s service department is pitifully incompetent (yes you Ourisman of Clarksville). When I was trying to get them to replace the slack tailgate cable under a TS, they were clueless. They did claim there was an RRT on the MFT to remove the plastic cover and check for missing parts...
For you guys that just took delivery of your 2021 1500s, what version of uConnect maps did u get?
One way to check is Nav/Nav Settings/ Map Update/
Current Map: Content_NA_HM_xxxx
Got a brand new Sherline tongue scale, and it’s proven to be very accurate and repeatable. However, it’ll get used only a couple times a year. If you’re near Columbia MD or passing thru, and want to know your actual tongue weight, let me know and we’ll measure (and help me justify having spent...
My 6th Gen wish list
Just in case FCA is listening,
2” less front overhang, 1.5” less rear seat legroom, 1.5” longer overall, thus a 6’0” crew cab bed (those inches mean a lot - FCA, think competitive advantage)
Twin turbo or supercharged straight six - 4.0L, 400 HP, 400 ft/lbs - think...
Would a Hellwig sway bar do anything when towing?
seems to me, a sway bar only functions when the truck body is leaning (with respect to the rear axle). I don’t imagine the truck leaning much if at all when towing a big, slow turning travel trailer.
thoughts? Anybody put one on and notice...
...be added to a ‘20 1500 DT with Air Suspension?
Wondering if the front end wiring harness has the connector, and if AlphaOBD can turn it on...
Anybody done it?
Does your MPG go down when towing in the rain? Seems reasonable it would, and mine does by something like 1 mpg (3.92, 6800# TT). I know winter gas, cold wx, conditions, etc have their impact, but wondering what the rest of you in the real world experience...
Probably covered elsewhere, but wondering if anybody’s got a dash cam that is motion sensitive? Would like to leave it on when at the dealer...
Otherwise, if you like yours and would recommend it, which one is it?
