Tire Options for 22' Limited Wheels with No Lift/Level

I have a '19 Limited and having the
285/55/22 Terra Grappler G2 put on later this afternoon. I went with that tire over the Ridge Grappler just because it's a tad shorter and about .25" narrower according to Nittos specs. I also heard it would be a quieter tire at highway speed.
Looking forward to your review!

I got the 285/55/22 Terra Grappler G2 on and I can say there is a very slight rub at full lock when in reverse and forward when in aero, normal and off road 1 mode. When in reverse, if wheels are turned to the left the rub is on the right side and vise versa for other side. In off road 2 ride height, there is no rub at all going forward with wheels at full lock but a faint rub when backing. I plan on getting out the heat gun and heat up the inside inner liner and just move it out of the way. It's only rubbing about a .25" of the inside liner. Your good everywhere else from that point out, doesn't rub on the outside wheel well or mud flaps at all. Hope this helps a little.
The picture with my hand is drivers side at full left lock with plenty of room.

Just put 305/45R22 Toyo Open Country A/T 3 on my 2021 1500 Laramie. No rub at all right now and it’s stock. I bought 2 inch MotoFab leveling kit that I’m installing this weekend but it’s not essential with these tires.
The ride quality and noise (lack there of) is phenomenal.

Nice! same size i'm looking at, but i'll probably go with a all season tire.

Would love to see how it look after to 2" level!

I'll definitely post some pics. Ran into an issue installing (getting UCA to pop free) so it will likely be this upcoming weekend.
Leveling kit took about 2.5 hours to install. 2 inch level. 2.5 probably more of a true level but heard too many stories about 2.5 inches putting stress on factory UCA and ball joint. 2A5BABBD-D0D9-4BA4-AEE3-9DE3E2D7010D.jpeg

Is this the same kit you got?

Can someone post what non-factory tires they are running on their 22'' Limited wheels without a level/lift? Looking to upgrade the tires without having to lift/level the truck and obviously want to avoid rub. TIA.
Just put 33x12.50x22 Toyo open country’s on 3020 Air Sus.
I do have rough country brackets and Daystar spacers on front. Pics are in normal mode.

With the Rough Country and Daystar did you keep all 5 modes? Just curious because you are the first I have seen do this.

The Nitto Terra Grappler's (285/55R22) look like the perfect size for the wheel well, on Nitto's website it says they are Ø34.37. I do not have air suspension on my Longhorn, are these pictures taken in normal mode or OR1? also would you be willing to take measurements from center of the wheel to the fender lip? I'm trying to put a minumum leveling kit on my truck, I dont want to raise it any higher then I have to.

Thanks,
Tim

Just had Ridge Grapplers in 305/45/22 put on my ‘21 limited and I’m extremely pleased. Was originally going to attempt 35’s, but tire shop convinced me to stick with P rated tires (vs LT’s) to maintain the smooth ride. I can tell the Nittos are slightly stiffer and a tad more road noise given the massive tread blocks, but overall I’m super pleased with ride and how quiet they are considering. The width and side wall really help with a more aggressive appearance. I have noticed a slight rub at full lock backing up, but nothing that can’t be fixed with some zip ties on the fender liner. Also, just took a 12hr, 800 road trip on them and the wife was even impressed with ride quality and noise (or lack thereof). Hope this helps others!
Look Great !! were the pictures taken with it in normal mode or OR1?

Thanks,
Tim

I don't recall which mode those pictures were in. I rarely drive it in OR1 so it's probably normal. Here's a picture of it in OR1.
I will have to get those measurements later, I don't have a tape measure with me.

Yes. I saw one other person do it as well, that’s why I tried it.

Has anyone checked out the 295/50/22 Ko2"s? TIre Rack shows the size being available to order. I'm leaning towards those, as the size seems to be a good balance of additional size over stock, without taking a huge MPG hit like the RG's in that size or similar (like the 285/55/22 RG's). It's 54lbs and D rated, vs 64 lbs and E rated like the RG's.

Is anyone running 295/55r22s on their air suspension without any lift or spacers? The Nittos in 295/55r22 measure 34.76/ 12.17, so just a bit smaller than 35s but E rated. Really they're just .15" taller than 285/55R22 and just about 1/2" wider. I expect to do some minor trimming just like you'd have to do with 285/55R22s. Anyone have pictures or experience running the 295/55r22 size?

Looks nice I have the same truck only in black I wanna keep those same wheels also, so those new tires fit the wheel and truck without doing the level kit. I just had a rough country level kit done on the truck. Just wanna make sure before I buy those tires.
