My Maxtrac lowering installation

I'm running Maxtrac front struts set at 3" in this pic the rear is IHC control arm relocators and IHC springs trimmed down Maxtrac track bar bracket. I'm currently changing it up and adding front air struts IHC 4" drop control arms and Timber grove rear 7" bag kit..
Thats what I'm talking about, looks great!!!!

I assume you will be using the CRMs from Timber Grove. Please keep us updated on your experience. I want to do a 3/5 drop, but I don’t want to loose towing capabilities. I’m considering using IHC parts in the front and Timber Grove 6” CRMs in the rear. I’m thinking I can just keep the bags inflated enough to keep it level. I’m concerned though that this will cause a stiff or bouncy ride. Maybe Steven can make a 5” CRM. I’m also still curious to see what Bel Tech will be releasing in late May.
Yes I'm using crm's, factory air line, factory air tank, I've fabricated brackets to fit the spring pockets ( crm's ) as far back as 2009 on alot of my rams and they've always rode better then stock. I bought and sold cars back in the day so I pulled a steel floor 20ft car hauler quite a bit and never had any issues. It's also nice to be able to level the truck back out when weight is applied..
 
I just did the MaxTrac/Spohn combo on mine. I did 1.5” up front and 3” rear. Did you notice any difference side to side? My passenger side sits 3/8”-1/2” higher than the driver side on front and back. I figured fuel tank accounted for back, but can’t figure out why on front. Reconfirmed that the same 1.5” slots are the same on both sides.

So my rear is level (I have airlift 1000 airbags with a t)

But my passenger front is .25in higher.

That is my goal. I need to be able to tow my Wrangler (rock crawler) on my 18’ car hauler without riding the bump stops. Also, daily driving still needs to be enjoyable. So, you have used the CRMs and maintained a factory ride? I’ve heard people say that the ride is pretty stiff and bouncy, which is what makes me leary. My plan, if I do CRMs, is to do their full system with on-board air and self leveling.

If their kits are pretty much easy bolt-on DIY, why are you having to fabricate brackets? Just curious.

It looks absolutely fantastic! I’m gonna do some adjusting to see if I can get it close to level side to side. Thanks for checking!
 
I haven't found a detailed thread with all the P/Ns and info in one easy to find post. Here ill post all the P/Ns, specs and links for the parts im installing. Most of this info is thanks to @Mopar_maxi

Truck is a 2021 Laramie Sport, CC, short bed, 4x4,non ORP, with etorque.

Suspension-

Mactrac 2/4 in lowering kit - P/N K332724

AIR LIFT 1000 Series Rear Airbags designed for a Durango- P/N 60824.

Spohn Performance Adjustable Rear Panhard Bar- P/N D09-1500-104 (you can get red or black)

Rear Bilstein 5100 shocks from a early 90s ford ranger. P/N 24-185684, ASIN # B004WO9JK2

With the spohn panhard you do not use the maxtrac relocation bracket, nor do you use the sway bar spacers in the kit. For the 5100 shocks you swap the maxtrac shock sleeves into them.

Wheels and tires-

Vossen HF6-1 22x9.5 +20- P/N HF61-2G20 with their Vossen lugs in black

Kumho Ecsta STX KL12 305/45R22- P/N KUM-1649113

As my truck sits right now with the 2in drop springs in the rear, I'm at 36in F and 37in R. My plan is to set the front struts to 1.5in, which should give me close to to no rake, and help keep the front alignment in the green. And use the helper bags when I load the motorcycles in the bed. Since every 2/4in dropped truck ive seen still has rake.

So far im right around $5k for everything since I was able to find a few deals and discounts. Pictures and video to come as I start everything based on the weather and snow on the ground.

On Maxtrac website it says this kit isn’t recommended if you have an etorque modle
because it may sit lower in the back.
Did you find that to be a problem on yours?
 
Not at all. Idk why they have that notation in there.

Hauled the two bikes today and gear. Left the bags at the normal 10psi and really no sagging.

I assume with the two street bikes I’ll need 15-20psi

Nice! That’s awesome. I guess I’ll place my order then👍🏼 Was thinking of doing the IHC 3/5 but I don’t want to cut the the rear mounts off. Seams like a lot of work for 1 more inch.

That’s kinda weird they’d say that given the ET battery is really small. I think it only weighs around 80 pounds

Still extremely happy with everything? Ride as good as OEM?

I’ve been going back and forth on doing exactly the same as your kit or waiting to see what Belltech comes out with.
 
I am very happy with mine. Ride is great and looks awesome.
 
Ride quality is subjective. I think it’s better than Oem because I hated the floaty feeling the stock trucks have.

Still happy with it.

I’m going to have to figure out exhaust also. What are you guys running? My Borla already hits with the 2inch coils.
 
Yeah, any of the cut and clamp systems will work fine. As long as you keep the OEM over axle pipes your golden.
And I still love the ride of mine also. (y)

If I were you I'd almost wait to see what Belltech is going to do since it seems they are very close to releasing a kit, just to see how they address the camber problem.
