My Maxtrac lowering installation

Dude I love your 2/4 drop. I’m comparing Belltechs kits to yours and Belltechs website says that their lowering kits aren’t compatible with the stock 22in wheel setup because of the larger wheel bearing assembly. “RAM trucks with OEM 22” wheels require a larger bore steering knuckle”. My ram has stock 22s….any idea if the kit you pieced together will have the same issues? Thanks for the feedback and great write up.
If you want the drop spindles, you would need the wheel hubs for a RAM w/ 20's for the Belltech spindles. Others have done it.

For any of y’all, did you have any problems with the exhaust hitting the pan hard bar bracket on the drivers side? I have the borla type s and it sits on the bracket.

2/4 drop on mine and I have no exhaust issues, but my exhaust is stock. Maybe you can take the pipe to an exhaust shop and they could create a slight bend or indentation to give you the clearance needed.

I thought about that. I may try to maneuver it potentially or just hammer an indentation myself since I’m sure that’s all they would do

Yep several people have had issues with aftermarket exhausts and the lowering kit. It’s why I went with a muffler and resi delete. Vs a full exhaust. Even with that mine has made slight contact with my suspension before.

I'm about to order the Maxtrac 2-4 lowering kit and not sure if I should order the coil spacer or not. I called Maxtrac this morning and they're still recommending it.

I do have etorque, I don't haul a trailer but I do hang my wifes mobilty scooter and power lift off the hitch occasionally. I'm ordering the air springs recommended here as well. I'm looking for it to sit level with no rake.
What are you're opinions?

That is what they say. But I opted for airbags over the spacer, for when I want to haul things. And I didn’t want the rear to be raised more than it is

I had the Maxtrac 2/4 lowering kit installed on Monday. I did use the 1-1/2" spacers and the truck measures an inch and a half lower on the fronts with the split ring on the 4th groove. The rear measures 3" lower and still has some rake to it. It might settle some after a few miles, we'll see. The ride is close to stock with minimum air in the Airlift 1000 helper bags, but I do feel more small bumps or road cracks than before. I love the look, and am satisfied with the ride.1000003214.jpg1000003212.jpg
