So are there multiple part numbers for these ACC compatible ABS Module and HCU? I have been browsing car-part and am seeing different part numbers.

For example...This one below was pulled from vin 1C6SRFKT8KN858225. That vin shows ACC being installed on the Mopar Vin Decoder and the NHTSA website. Pics of the truck/steering wheel confirm it has ACC.

Is there a mount kit which can be purchased to insert to the front headliner right above the front windshield or mount to the rear view mirror mounting base to hold the front face windshield camera and its upper and lower covers, this way we don't need to replace the non FCW/ACC supported windshield? I wanted to save my Mopar OEM windshield to save several hundred dollars since I'm cheap.

I was focusing on another thread talking about the 5th gen HD for FCW/ACC and Google AI driving. So far the Forums have helped me in big deals and I like them. I have been following these, and successfully added and enabled blind spot monitor, front and rear parking sensors, 12" multimedia screen, rear CHMSL camera, A/C interior temperature sensor based sync, rain sensor/auto headlights high beam/auto dim rear view mirror, front LED fog lights, truck bed LED utility lights, auto bed cover release, and auto remote starting for my 2019 RAM 2500 Diesel Big Horn with relative very lower costs. Now I bought all OEM Mopar parts for FCW/ACC except the windshield to attack this project. If it succeeds, I will attack the Google AI driving, i.e. Comma 3X as well. However, I'm hesitating to replace the windshield since in the "Adding adaptive cruise" thread there have not been updates as for if 5th HD FCW/ACC will really work except Jimmy and few other folks were successful. Can Jimmy and you guys respond to my hesitations to give me confidences to encourage me to move forward with it?

Lucky for me, there is that abs recall going on, and I was able to pull the recall flash fix for 23-24, and I flashed the TRX abs module to a regular 1500 with ACC calibration.

Just spent the last couple days slowly reading through the whole thread, and this is the first I've seen this mentioned, but also something I was concerned about.

I have a 2022 Limited Longhorn and received the ABS recall. My understanding is this may require a software flash of the ABS unit. Does anybody know how this would affect the guys that have performed this mod if they take it in for the recall?

I'm considering jumping in as I'd like ACC, but was thinking it might be best to have the recall performed before making the swap. One, because I don't want an open recall on my truck due to possible resale issues. Two, if I went ahead with it anyway, I wouldn't want them flashing the ABS module back to the stick VIN configuration.

I'm not sure what you are asking. There's no such thing as Google AI driving. You seem to be mixing things up. I'm just not sure what you are talking about.

Correct.
There is another way it could go down with the dealer doing the recall. Witech might recognize the current ABS software part number and show that it will update to ITS correct recall part number, but I can’t say for sure, and wouldn’t want someone have the dealer try unless they’re watching what software part number it’s going to update to.
I went a different route, as I was able to download the flash file itself, and apply it with CDA6, but witech doesn’t quite work like that.

Thanks for the response. That is kind of what I was expecting. Not in a big hurry at this point anyway, the majority of my driving is on 2 lane country backroads where it isn't of much use. Occasionally though, I do load the family up for a highway trip, so it would definitely be useful on those occasions.

For those that have already performed the mod, but wanted to close up that open recall... If they still had the factory ABS module, could you just swap it back in, onto the upgraded HCU, take it in and let them perform the flash? Maybe those two components play just fine together? You'd likely have to fiddle with ALPHAOBD again, then of course swap your ACC compatible ABS module back in once the recall is done, but maybe that's not as big of a headache as swapping both?

I'm up for the recall, and still have my old ABS module. Seems like a pretty important recall to just skip, and what's to say the ABS/ACC module I swapped in doesn't need the recall too? I'm torn here on what the best path is here.

It does, unless the abs module came off a truck that already had the recall performed (which would have to have been in the last month or two).
If someone that has done this mod really wants to have the recall performed for the safety aspect, they’re going to have to set up the appointment with the dealer, and explain to the tech that’s going to do the work that they need to make sure the abs module is going to update to part number 68548900AC, and if not, don’t do it.

Totally get that. Although you might want that recall closed if you take your truck into the stealership for any service or other warranty work. So far they've performed 3 recalls on my truck without even mentioning it until I picked it up. You might forget that recall is out there, take it in, then next thing you know you've lost your mods.

I'll be waiting until the recall is sorted out. I'm assuming a new part # for the ABS module with updated software will be issued soon after which everybody would then want to use.
Is that going to be the number you referenced above (68548900AC) ?

-A used HCU and ABS module
-The steering wheel buttons
-Correct 12" center stack

What's truly keeping me from adding this is the programing needed with Alpha OBD. I've got a 1700-mile road trip coming up this Thursday and I don't want to mess up the truck. On the other hand, I have a Comma 3 and I'd really like to be able to use it on my Ram, especially for this trip. Is there a video or a thorough guide on how to make the necessary changes so everything works as it should.
