How to: Add Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane assist, FCW & Auto Hi-beam to Ram 1500

Did moparpartsinc contact You regarding Center stack order? They said to me, that 68312620AG doesn't match my VIN and they will not accept return, I believe the reason is that my track was without factory installed ACC/lane assist. I confirmed my order and asked them to proceed.
No, they let me order it fine. But, I never put my VIN in so maybe that's why.

I had a representative contact me every time i ordered something...which is helpful - if you're not doing a project like this. One time they cancelled the order because it was the "wrong" part. Very frustrating

@MayhemMOORE did you get the chance to instal the ACC switch and see if it works?

Is ACC separated system and can it work without lane assist? My center stack is delayed, but I received ACC button and all the rest. In case I will do ACC only for now, will it work? Have a long upcoming trip, just wondering whether I can do ACC project before.

Yes

I believe so, but have not tested.

The auto park (parallel and perpendicular park assist) is actually a separate system from the DASM and blind spot functions. It is part of the park sense system, and uses a different park sense module, different front outboard sensors, and VehConfig 1 PTS configuration would be changed to Semi Automatic
I have ParkSense on mine. So there are other ParkSense modules needed to add auto-park? Interesting. I wonder what all is needed or different from standard ParkSense.

68309594AD received instead of ordered 68309592AD. Very confusing, they have delivered not according to the ordered part number, but according to my VIN. Insane!

That's crazy. I didn't put in a VIN so maybe I'll get what I ordered. But yeah, they should have given you what you ordered instead of correcting it. I'm still waiting on mine to ship.

I even explained them over the phone, that they must forget my VIN number and follow part number, because I do modification. Hopefully they will deliver correct center stack.

There aren’t “additional” modules needed, you just need a different park sense module part number than the one you have now. You also need different front outboard park assist sensor part numbers than the ones you have now. Then you need the radio bezel that has the parallel/perpendicular park switch (or screen that has the switch if you have the 12” screen). The BCM PTS configuration gets changed with AlfaOBD, and that’s it.

Looking to add ACC, LaneSense and Auto Park to my 21 TRX. Has DASM + forward collision system already. I have the ACC switch already and about to order the correct center stack. Do you have the part numbers handy for the different park sensors + park sense module? Thanks in advance by the way for all of the support! (I've been silently following your posts for a bit now :D)

Park Sense Parts

Look at numbers 4 and 12. Make sure it includes the Parallel and Perp Park Assist w/Stop in the description.

Picked up the switch for ACC at lunch today, so I will get it installed and see what happens later today. Apparently my cheap tablet doesn't support the newest version of alfaobd, so I'm hoping I don't run into any issues or missing settings. I guess it's time to upgrade to a slightly less cheap tablet.

You'll have to let me know what tablet you go with. I think I need to buy one as well as the phone I would use is pretty old.

I am stick to Android and my phone is pretty new. I tried AlfaObd on my phone and my https://www.ebay.com/itm/265139906013?hash=item3dbb91e5dd:g:QrYAAOSwNeJfGzP-&LH_ItemCondition=3000|1500|1000|2500 almost with the same result. New Android tablets are also pretty cheap on Amazon (fire 7 - 50$ only). Not sure, if it makes sense of buying an Android tablet for Apple guy only for 10 min job, I believe smb. around should have one. AlfaObd free version is good enough, as I understood.

I may be mistaken, but I don't think the free version allows you to do anything other than view things, you can't actually make any changes.
