How to: Add Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane assist, FCW & Auto Hi-beam to Ram 1500

I have bow completed all hardware installations (steering wheel buttons, abs module, and hcu with part numbers from the first post) and have followed the instructions to the letter. The brakes have been bled, codes cleared, and followed ABS bleed procedure. After all this, I still get the pictured errors. Could someone please advise if there may be something I'm missing? The only feature that I am trying to gain is ACC.

Thanks in advance,
Jay
More info needed. What year and trim? Did you already have a DASM?

Can you tell us what codes are set right now? I know when I got the warning light in the top left, I had a component activated but not installed. I also got this when I activated rain sensing wipers with the wrong module installed. It’s basically saying the BCM is receiving bad information or information from a module that is not installed.

2021 Rebel. DASM installed from the he factory. I'd like to ammend my previous comment on the new equipment. As I have recently been informed, the ABS module and hcu were not the correct models (basically, installed for no reason) I now have a new set of these components ordered. They are coming from a 2023 Laramie which has ACC from the factory (I figure they should be the right components as they have the same part numbers listed in these posts with only difference being the last two letters) I reinstalled my original CC switch in the meantime to get my function back which worked, but still have the lights on the dash for no fcw. I've restored the BCM from the backup made at the beginning of this process, but the lights are still on.

Like I said it is listed at the top of the thread. You can use search and just search this thread for all the posts. If I get time, I'll see if I can compile everything. You do not need surround view for this. It uses the sonar sensors in the bumper.
Thanks Vincent, I got the parts in and installed them. I did the rear harness with the outer sensors and the new module. I already have the 6 sensors in the front. I got the new harness and additional sensors installed. Before I made any of the config changes, I got the ParkSense Unavailable & Needs Service. This is only showing an issue on the rear parksense. I have went back and checked all my connections and I still got the errors.

Did you install the new parktronics module?

Can you tell what all config changes to make. I made the following and still get the errors
VehConfig 1: PTS Configuration- Semi Automatic
VehConfig 5: Semi Automatic Parking System Present- Yes
Parktronics: Park Assist Tuning Set- Base 1/4 Channel/Sahara

Would it be worth me trying to reset my ECU to clear these warnings, or could that throw me back to the stone age?

I will leave that decision to the professionals, but I would only do that as a last resort. The FCW Light is expected as part of the procedure. The Mopar online parts site shows you what parts are interchangeable as far as the last 2 digits. The ABS Module and HCU’s that I installed were not the ones listed on the parts list. I would guess that one of the components is either bad or not correctly labeled.

I'm about to go forward with this. Last part is arriving tomorrow. After researching everything here, I believe I am good to go except one thing: Activating New ABS Module. ( I did order new parts - NOT used. )

I did an internal and google search in this thread to see if anyone gave any indication of how to approach it with Alpha OBD but I get this:

There are no results for site: 5thgenrams.com/community/threads/how-to-add-adaptive-cruise-control-lane-assist-fcw-auto-hi-beam-to-ram-1500.30924/ "initialize new abs"

Does anyone have any info on this? I have a demo version of OBD JSCAN for android and I do see the setting under Adaptation -> Vehicle Maintenance -> ABS - Full Initialization

Does that work for JSCAN? Is there something similar with Alpha OBD Windows?

I'm having a hell of a time finding it... seems like parts shipping is faster than scouring internet and videos over correct procedure.

Thanks.

Did you read the first posts? The PDF tells you how and the 3rd post has some additional information. Search this thread for "initialize" and there are more posts on here with more info.

Hi vincentw56, I've read quite a few of your helpful posts as well, great to meet you and thank you...
Of course I read them, that is how I knew to look for it. Original OP said he had to get it fixed at dealership. I thought I read somewhere else that it could be done with scan tool but for, life of me, I cannot find it!

Post 1,169 seems to be the closest thing I can find to actual initialization like what I'm finding in JSCAN but he seemed to just have "lucked out" with it.

Other posts I'm finding also make reference to going to dealership or "My mechanic helped".

I had to go to the dealer for mine as have others. But some others did not. I guess it is hit and miss. The post you referenced has good info on what needs to be done. He also referenced another post about it. AlfaOBD will do it. I think when the OP and I did it, it was broken and why it didn't work for us.

I didn't end up needing to do that, I wasn't able to even see the proper button that the instructions mentioned. See post 763 and the ones after for my adventure in this. For reference, I have a 22 Rebel, only came with FCW, no BSM, LKA, ACC, etc.

It sounds like you're saying you can't even run the ABS initialization procedure, is that correct? I don't remember that being an issue for me. You keep saying JSCAN, are you using that or AlphOBD? And you say you're waiting on parts, does that mean you don't have everything installed? All the things need to be installed and all the programing done or it's not going to work correctly.

Does anyone have a VIN to provide to get the correct windshield replaced?
