Not sure exactly what the problem was, but it was for the drivers airbag. The dash kept saying service airbag system over and over, They found that it was a bad sensor under the drivers seat.

I am still dealing with my leaking panoramic sunroof. Each time I get the truck back from service, I find another scratch or interior blemish that wasn't there previously. Now, the headliner has to be replaced due to water stain marks. Overall, I can't stand my 2019 RAM, and I regret ever buying it. I think this will be my last RAM truck ever. I've been hearing that Ram Cares keeps bypassing customers to talk to dealerships, and is trying to close all their cases - EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE NOT BEEN FIXED.

Well I got ahold of the dealer today to find out what is going on with my truck because @RamCares is really not keeping me in the loop. What they are working on still is the water leak. The say the changed out the 3rd brake light, it still leaked. New rear window and trim, still leaked. New roof seam seals or something like that, still leaks. Tomorrow they are pulling the headliner dawn again to try to see the actual leak I guess. We shall see. I also had some damage on the back of my center console from the 1st time they attempted to fix the water leak. The days just keep adding up.

Why do you hate it? Has it just been the sunroof that's the issue? Or other things?

Not sure if anyone with the 2020 RAM multi-function tail gate is experiencing this issue. Basically, when i use the split tail gate, I have to close it pretty freaking hard for the latch to recognize that it is closed. When I close the split tailgate with the same force as the regular tailgate, the ajar warning illuminates on the instrument cluster and it won't allow you to open the regular tailgate because it thinks the tailgate isn't closed yet.

I took it to ram and they replaced the latch and it hasn't fixed anything. And basically they dont' have a fix for it. Any body experiencing this same issue?

mine does this, I just close the split portion, then open the tailgate normally, and close it. Haven’t had an issue doing it that way

Ugh... so frustrating. The regular tailgate is fine. I barely have to use any force for it to recognize as closed. I just love using the multi function tailgate more. So I really hope they figure this out. Too me it just sounds like the gain or position of the sensor is not where it needs to be.

No. They basically threw in the towel. I definitely want it resolved.

I completely understand, @RAM8004. Would you mind following up with me via private message at this point? I would like to learn more about your most recent dealer visit to determine how to best assist moving forward.

Yes, I've had this happen, and the fix I've found is to do a fairly firm close when closing any of the multi function tailgate options. Would get the warning all the time when I closed the tailgate lightly, and it would shut off ability to open with the other option until this was fixed. Haven't gotten a single warning since switching to my firm-close method.

A very firm close works for me to but it shouldn't be that way, especially because it is definitely latched even with a soft close. So it's definitely sensor adjustment.

So far only gripe on my 1500 bighorn is that the downshifts while decelerating seem to be more pronounced than most other vehicles. This normal?

This seems to have gotten better for me over time, I'm closing the tailgate with less force now and still not getting the open tailgate warning. So maybe the sensor has to break it a bit, although that sounds somewhat ridiculous.

I have an idea to try. Maybe the tailgate liner is the culprit. I'm going to remove both liners to see if it solves the issue. But it is kind of embarrassing when you're out at the store and you have to close it like 5-6 times before it registers as closed.

Found another issue. My sticker clearly says I have the bed utility package which includes the following

  1. Deployable bed step.
  2. 4-adjustable cargo tie downs.
  3. Pick box lighting.
  4. Spray in bed liner.

Where the hell is the deployable bed step? I can't find it anywhere. Did they forget to install it? Well I gave the dealer a call. We will see.
