Has anyone tried 305 45 22" Tires on their stock 22" rims?

Curious to know your findings? Any rub? I'd like to go the route of not leveling or lifting anything. I'm ok with a minor trim if needed, but wonder how they're working out for you with your stock truck.

Cheers,
I ended up buying Airlink levelers I bought the dual links 3/4” lower back and the 1.25” front but adjusted to just 1” now it doesn’t rub unless I crank it way way over it rubs just so slightly . Sorry for the delay Im New to this forum

thanks for posting this thread, ended up with the General UHP (good cheap tire). Had them on my '10 Ram R/T that I absolutely punished with over 30 drag passes, heating them up and still managed to get 40k miles out of them. Not a dramatic change but just C1DC4738-7D32-4A8D-A03A-F2DADD0EFD64_1_201_a.jpeg73013BB3-0B96-4301-9D8C-1EF116A182D2_1_201_a.jpeg94F7A77E-8A71-49EB-A503-318000C377DD_1_201_a.jpeg4AF2E99B-D784-4E54-8D7C-3DA02A507C79_1_201_a.jpeglooking for a good rain tire for this 3 season tow/people mover. A few pics for the next guy looking at 305s on stock rims.

Nice. The UHP's were on my short list but the tech at Discount Tire said they weren't too good in the snow which is why I went with the Goodyears.

Those tires look excellent on your truck! How much $ did they set you back?

Cheap! $700 for a set of four. Thanks man, I had good luck with them before so didn’t mind doing them again

Hey chithead, I remember you from ram forumz from like 10 years ago lol. You had a White Ram R/T while I had the silver one. Glad to see you here

Wow, That's crazy! And here we are, still loving some Ram goodness!

Wait a minute... you had the one with the cam swap install done at Arrington in VA?

Yes sir, that be me, first one in the East Coast I was told by Shop Hemi. Bear to tune back then, even had Josh of HighHorseperformance had a crack at it. Good times, absolutely pummeling at the new platform 4th gens back then lol. I recall you had a decent audio in your R/T

Honestly the GY tires only lasted me 15K miles on the rear and I need to replace them... trying to choose between the 305 and a 33 a lift for the air ride is not in the budget yet although the BDS 4" lift is a must in the near future. thanks for the pictures they truly help me decide. any one out there have the same 22" black rims on either of above? if so let me see them..

That's what is happening to us too ^^^ Just went out this weekend and noticed the center of the rear tires is almost slick. Never had a low pressure warning, so didn't even think about checking tire pressures. All four tires have 36psi, and the fronts are wearing completely even. Just the rear tires have the center portions wearing out extremely quickly. And I never try to do burnouts or anything like that. Third Mopar vehicle we've bought with Goodyear tires from the factory that need replaced way too soon.

I just replaced my tires last week (I went back with factory size, not 305), your describing exactly what happened to my factory Good Years. When I was tire shopping I went to three local places. Two of the three literally laughed when I told them I had Good Years and they're worn out in the middles way too soon. One said that's why the call them Good Years. "Ya get one good year out of them".
I didn't even get my one good year before they were slick in the middle and NEVER got them perfectly balanced. Always shook a little about 60-62 mph

Aai, are you at stock height? How well do these fit? I really want to do this tire size with toyo proxies, just worried it’s going to rub a lot once I do the 2/4 drop. I also did the rough math on it and thought it would be really close to the UCA.

Currently stock height, took some random images 305s on stock 22" oem wheel, offset (+19)?
* wheel straight, you have 3/4" from the UCA
* steering wheel locked to the left. You have 1.5" of clearance to Sway Bar on the back of left tire.
82F95F90-1F13-4AA4-AF3D-B0311555C52F.jpeg steering wheel still locked to the left. Front of the right tire, have almost 1.5" clearance from that bumper support bracket, and 1" or so from the denser inner fender plastic. You are the man! Much appreciated going through the hassle of that. I don’t think the drop will change the geometry too much to have an impact based on the photos you took - if anything it might get a little closer to the bumper bracket/fender liner.

305/45 are also $80 cheaper than the factory size for a set of 4 too, $80 to put into something else. Thanks again!

I am looking at these larger tires to replace the stock Goodyears and wondered if anyone has tried them or what is the largest size anyone has tried on the 22" with 4x4 Air Suspension. I am looking for tires that don't rub in any of the Air Ride heights.
I put on 33's on my stock 22inch wheels, toyo open country AT3s.. I couldn't find anyone that did it so hopefully this help. I also did the mopar 2inch lift kit.

Good morning
I believe we have the same Ram, 2019 1500 Laramie 4x4; Mine came with 20’s but I bought some gloss black 22’s on eBay. Do you know if 305/45r22 will fit with no issues?
