Grinding noise when turning to the right

I just dropped my 2019 limited off at the dealership for the 3rd time for that same issue. Did you ever find out what the problem was?

So far so good changing tires. Of course maybe the LT All Terrains could be masking the issue by virtue of the wall stiffness? I don't know. A very weird situation that 2 dealers couldn't figure out but at least documented if I notice it again. The second dealer said FCA is working on trying to figure this out. Changing tires would tell me it was a problem with the crappy Goodyears.

Same for me. Since changing to A/T tires the problem has not come back. It has been about 3k miles so far.

Has anyone gotten a conclusive answer as to the culprit behind this brief grinding noise when turning right? Mine sporadically happens (usually slow turn, not deadlocked, mostly in 2wd b/c of what others have suggested here, but has happened in 4wd auto as well).

Trying to figure out if it's worth going to the dealership to discuss as my warranty will expire Oct of this year. As a side note, I had one occurrence of that weird vibration noise every few seconds while driving - it was mentioned in another thread - 1month ago...if anyone knows what that's about, I'm all ears.

My truck went into the dealer last week and they ended up replacing the steering column. I picked it up and...it is WORSE!!! It's almost like they didn't even drive it. Not only is the clicking still there now there is grinding as well. Needless to say it is going back in and they asked to keep it for a week or more to dive deeper into it.
I was assigned a case manager at RAM corporate and she has been great. I hope this gets resolved this time around.
I will keep everyone posted.

UPDATE: The truck was at the dealer for about 4 days. They ended up replacing the clock-spring and ,knock on wood, all noises are gone and the steering is whisper quiet. Hoping for the best!

Parts replaced: Steering column and clock-spring.

I wish I saw this thread the other day - I just posted on the exact same thing. I thought I was losing my mind but I am definitely getting a grinding noise from the back when making right hand turns. Seems to be more pronounced in tighter turn situations...almost sounds like something is sliding in the bed, only it is completely empty and has a bed rug. So the consensus is it is a known issue?

I have been dealing with this for a long time... I had the intermediate shaft bearing (or bushing) replaced, didn't help, then the entire steering column replaced. No help. Then they said that FCA claims its a software problem and that a fix would be issued in Feb... months of waiting and nothing... I contact the head of the local dealership service department.... he responds once then he eventually stops responding to me. So I got so tired of it I sold the truck... made $3k more than what I paid for it 2 1/2 years ago... problem solved. And yes, Ram Cares tried to help with this. To everyone dealing with this problem, best of luck.

Same issue here just happen like 2 weeks ago from time to time...its weird just happen in like a sec then gone..only happens when turning the steering wheel to right and in a slow speed like 5-10km

Feel the same way. When my lease is up it'll be someone else's problem.

Mine does the Exact Same Thing!

Mine is doing this as well. Only turning right slowly and the noise is gone as fast as it came

Mine stopped when I replaced my tires. Maybe something is affected in the steering when the front tires are worn enough. I.e. some angle that’s slightly off.
