I have been reading the thread and i checked my build date on my truck for the tsb. My truck is not within range but i do have the clunk when turning and bumpy surface. The sway bar links seem to be a good check. Does someone know the torque spec for the links? I have gone through a couple pages at least and haven't seen anything. I don't want to take it to the dealer if all it is is tightening a nut. Thank you

Hi Mr4x403,
As mentioned to your fellow forum members, if you do decide to have your dealer address this, please send our team a private message. We would be happy to escalate a case for you!

I picked up my new 2019 Ram Rebel on Wednesday and noticed this clunk noise on the way home. Figured it was nothing serious I parked the truck. Drove it again today (Saturday) and heard it multiple times...not a very happy experience on my first Dodge/Ram product. I have it booked in for Tuesday 9am but the service consultant I spoke with gave me very little hope. I will message RamCares privately and hopefully they can assist with this

If it's the sway bar end links you may be able to get away with just tightening both sides and that should take care of the sound. My dealership tightened them the first time and when the sound came back about 1k miles later they just ordered new links and replaced them. Just an FYI
I had the clunk start for me at around 100 miles and My dealership gave me such a hard time along with Horrible service. My build date matched the TSB for the body mounts but my dealership refused to do the fix. I was sick to my stomach over it. The clunking and clanking was so bad and so repetitive. I brought it back 3 times over the course of 2 months and was at 1,000 miles when I decided to take it to a different dealership location and they fixed the problem in 10 min. Sway bar end links needed to be re-torqued. I am currently at 10,000 miles and haven't heard a single clunk/clank since. I still remember the feeling driving home that day. it felt like a whole new truck.

Can someone show me a picture of this bolt that needs to be properly tightened please? Perhaps an image with an arrow or something showing the exact bolt you tightened. I'd like to take the picture to my dealer who looked at the problem on my truck today.

They had it for a few hours, did some stuff which certainly helped although not 100%. Apparently I have broken parts that they are ordering in and repairs will take 2 days or more. I find this hard to believe on a brand new truck with 500 miles.

I have a build date 1/22/19 on my rebel and started noticing a clunk about a week ago. Have an appointment for tomorrow to check out the recall for the airbags, issues with the 12" uconnect and now this. not looking forward to spending my one day off at the dealership.

I can replicate the clunk by hitting a bump or steering hard from side to side in a slalom fashion.

Good luck, please update us on anything you experience at the dealer. Hopefully they know what the problem is and fix it for you on your first visit

Clunk in the front was in fact a loose sway bar link but.

Recall for airbag and seat belt thing completed.

12" Uconnect issue is still open. But it is associated with star case S1808000086.

I have same problem. But for some reason the service manager does not hear it or feel it !

Although we cannot give any technical input, are you thinking about getting a second opinion? This time we can get you an additional layer of assistance while in service. Send me a direct message if this is of interest.

Chalk up another '19 1500 with the clunk. 2019 Ram Laramie, 4,600 miles. Clunks like crazy. Took it a local dealership in Colorado Springs. They said THEY WOULD NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM because I had an aftermarket level, they said the level was probably causing the issue. The service advisor then stated, we are usually pretty lenient on vehicles with lifts, I interrupted and stated just not mine?? Anyways, enough with my rant. I have an appointment at a different dodge dealership in town tomorrow. Will report back on the issue.

I've got my 19 Bighorn Crew - same issue as described throughout the thread - clunking very loudly now, while turning left or right. Taking in for service in the morning. Short of reading back through 49 pages, is there a reference number I can point the service techs to?
