Thanks for the advice. This is my first post to this thread. I’m hitting this issue (at least one of the two issues). It’s not the end of the world for me, since it only happens it situations like @Sconn85 mentioned.

I’m easily above to reproduce the “clunk” noise myself by just putting one foot on the deployable running board and rocking the truck back and forth. Does this mean I need to let the dealer do the fix? Or can I crawl under the truck and simply tighten something up? If this has already been covered, then sorry :ROFLMAO:. In the meantime I’ll go back into the thread and look around.

If it's the sway bar end links you may be able to get away with just tightening both sides and that should take care of the sound. My dealership tightened them the first time and when the sound came back about 1k miles later they just ordered new links and replaced them. Just an FYI

2019 Laramie 1500 here, bought it brand new in the first week of March, just over 2k miles now and just started noticing the "clunk". Only noticeable at low speeds and when turning. Most often notice it turning in and out of parking lots and my driveway. My local dealer can't get me in until mid-may for service. What do I need to point out to them?

Hi Sconn85,
We're sorry to hear that you are experiencing this. Don't hesitate to send us a PM if you would like us to provide you with additional assistance once your truck arrives at the dealer.

The links were replaced on my truck. For as long as the problem went before the correct repair, It wouldn't surprise me if they had some damage.

Same deal hear. Right sway bar link loose. Put blue loc-tite on both sides. No issues since.

I had clunking under the floorboard, and it was determined that my left sway bar needs to be replaced. I don’t know how these wear out, especially on a truck that is only 5 months old and less than 5,000 miles.

It's not worn out, it just "unseated" (whatever that means, maybe that it came completely out?) and it's apparently easier to just put in a whole new assembly.

I had this issue. Dealership ordered new sway bar end links and turned out mine only had to be re-torqued which completely fixed the issue. I haven't heard one single clunk or clank for 7,000 mi since they fixed it.

Nice - looks like you had better luck than I did then!

Mechanic says that the rubber bushing(s) were faulty.

Yep - if you ever had a chance to look at them before you brought it in, you would've seen how they were bunched on one side, causing the metal on metal sound to happen. Tightening them brings this all back into alignment but if the rubber was pinched in a weird way, I guess there's no going back and that's when they just get replaced instead.

700 miles and I have this issue. I’m surprised this would still be an issue on a newer build.

Purchased a 2019 Ram Limited took possession 11 April 2019 start experiencing the clunking sound maybe around the 500 mile mark. I really didn't know what it was, had me all under my truck trying to see if something had came apart or something. But had a coworker point me to this forum immediately read this post and said that is it exactly what is going on with my truck. Took it to the dealership today was told by my service advisory my sway bar end links had to be replaced. So thank everyone in the forum for sharing knowledge.

Ready to get this into the dealer on Wednesday. It’s getting progressively worse and now occurs in straight line driving. My wife even mentioned the noise and she is oblivious to any vehicle noises, ever.

I had that as well. As the road grade would shift from one side to the other, and the weight would transfer on the truck....POP!!! That's when I knew it was the swaybar.

The noise is hard to not notice. I got self-conscious driving my truck through the parking garage at work with the racket it was making.

Taking my Rebel to dealership this weekend, I have the cluck from the front left specially while taking a full turn left or driving on uneven road surface, Sometimes its so strong i can feel a bump under my left foot on the floor mat! Any idea what’s that? And whats the TSB if there any for my problem? And where to print it? Thanks!
