For what it's worth, I use this mount and it works EXCEPTIONALLY well...IF you are OK with magnetic mounting. Similar location to the Proclip, but a more elegant design in my opinion.

Those are nice and tidy. If I get tired of my ProClip, I will be picking one of those up. Thanks for the links. (y)(y)

Concerning the ProClip, I know that the manufacturer says that it's not made for use with trucks that have the "Column Shifter". I have a 3500 with the Column Shifter, and was wondering if you you know if that is a definite "no go", or is it just a bit in the way and one could make it work OK?

I had one on my 2013 1500, 6spd with column shifter. If I wanted to put the truck in park and take the key out, I had to turn my phone mount every time. IMO totally worth it for the best phone mount on the market I could find. So yes, it does interfere with the shifter, but not 100%.

I also have the column shift and cracked my week old(at the time) Samsung s20+ when putting it into park. ... Just a word of caution: be careful 😂

For those in the MagSafe ecosystem, this seems like a good product with the bonus that it will charge your device.
It’s a vent mount, but with extra support to ensure a snug fit.

Anyone using the Scosche MagicMount Pro XL along with the ProClip mount? If so, would you recommend ordering the 15* wedge as well?

I went to their website but they don't show anything for Rams. Did you buy another kit and customize it to fit? if so, which kit did you buy?

Proclip installed using the left a/c vent mount. Recycled the iPhone cradle with power and data cable from a previous vehicle. I popped the radio bezel away to run the wire behind it and it comes out near the media hub. The cell phone holder in the console has a little lip to tuck the extra wire up out of the way inside a crease. I’m very happy with how it turned out. When I put iPhone in the cradle it connects to truck and starts charging immediately.
I have the proclip as well. I was curious how you were able to get the wire behind the radio bezel. I've been very hesitant to pull the bezel too much, fearing that I'll snap/break it. Do you have any resources on how you pulled the bezel or can you explain a bit more on how you squeezed the wire in?

Take the two screws out from under the rubber insert next to the cigarette lighter plug at the top of the dash. Then just pull and clips will pop easily. Extremely simple.

Sometimes the obvious questions are the toughest ones to answer, lol. This thread seems to be a ProClip ad. I love the iphone craddle that is in this truck and with the wireless CarPlay dongle, I dont even wanna or have to see my phone. My take is the power of habit that is making all these posters buy a phone holder. This is one of the more entertaining threads along with the one discussing why to use the cruise control over the adaptive cruise control. 😂

I use a pro clip as well. I use my phone to run Escort Live, so I need to see the phone screen and I like having it in my line of sight.
