8.4" to 12.1" screen replacement

I don’t even care to much about the volume knob not working anymore, I just want the dang screen to stay on every time I get in the truck mostly

Also, need them pics of the wire arrangement on the connector you are plugging into the display screen.

Can anyone take a picture of where the fuse box is on their truck? I’ve looked under the dash and there is nothing

Wait..... you didn't look for F44 above the pedals?
I thought it was clear that it's the interior fuse box, sorry lol

F44 fuse! Hope that’s clear

We need to separate what you and @dougstheman86 have going on, because you have an HD Ram that doesn’t have auto climate, and you don’t have an interior fuse box.

Yes, F44 I didn’t look to hard yesterday since I was doing the battery disconnect thing.

Ok, so I found the fuse and the changes have been all through my BCM lol. What should I do next then @Jimmy07?

Need to see that connector you’re plugging into the display screen.

Doug, what series truck do you have. This is getting confusing. Need to know exactly what you did when installing the radio. Did you repin the plug or buy a converter. Is your sgw bypassed permanently or is it back to stock.

@Bram2019, I have a 2019 1500 laramie, all I did was followed instructions in post 309. Coming from a 8.4” NON-NAV. I made the 2 changes in the BCM(enabled the display, disabled the center stack) re-pinned the converter as well

There are 2 possibilities here. Your repin job did not work right. I asked you about the security gateway. Did you unplug the security bypass, install a bypass adapter, made your changes unplugged the bypass adapter and then plugged the security gateway back in so it is back to stock. Or did you do something different.

I plugged the gateway in made the changes to the BCM and disconnected the OBDLink. Mine pins in like this, I just leave it connected.

Just to clarify, while he’s getting pics of the repin job, he’s not using the type of bypass that replaces the SGM. It is a male to female OBD pass through, with the can ihs and can c twisted pairs getting plugged directly into the can junction blocks (which I have confirmed via pics is installed correctly). The SGM doesn’t get removed with this type of bypass.

That is correct. Are those wires making contact with the female terminals, and are the terminals pushed all the way in and locked into the connector. For future reference, The red face of the connector is the terminal lock. To de pin the wires, you pry the red face off and insert a paperclip to release the terminals.
