2025 Ram 1500 Order Updates

Truck supposedly being delivered to the dealership today, then has to pass their QC/intake. Offered to buy lunch for the guys in the shop if they could get it in and back out so I could go close a deal tonight. No response from the salesman. So, sounds like I may be able to pick it up tomorrow. Hopefully, they meet my price expectations and the whole process goes quick. Don't feel like spending my birthday sitting in a dealership haggling about price and waiting for them to be ready for me to sign a bunch of crap. On the upside, happy birthday to me(hopefully)!!

Happy birthday! And I hope they work you through the process quickly. Always seems to be a couple of hours, even if it’s smooth.
You want some good sunlight to check it out anyway.

I told them what I wanted to pay and they verbally said we can do that. Nothing was in writing and no deposit taken. This was before my time here in the forums, I was much denser then!! I've got my window that I'm good with and as long as they come close to that, it will be fine. Otherwise, you all will have to put up with my whining a little longer as I'll re-order from Anthony.

I expect them to match or come close to the dealer discount of 12% plus the incentives. As long as they do that, they'll have a deal. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Mine did 10% plus incentives and they're very competitive around here. That's great! If you get 12%

I'd take the 10% plus incentives. I'm not trying to rob them, but expect them to be competitive. They have a few other things that are dealer specific in regards to matching down payment and extra trade incentives, so I'm hoping to walk out with a price of around 80K, after whitteling them down and then having them upsell me some items. I'm already planning on ceramic coating. I'll gladly pay a little bit of a premium to establish a relationship with a local company.

That was short lived hope!!! They were able to get it though inspection and found some scratches on the front and inside of the truck. So, damaged in shipment. They filed a claim with their insurance and are rushing it over to the body shop. So, no, I won't have it for my birthday most likely. Now I just have to be extra vigilant on my inspection to make sure the body shop does a good enough job. Any other advice from anyone?

There is a great inspection checklist in this forum. I’d print it out and check all items.

That’s rough. I sympathize for you.

I am not rubbing it in but my truck was picked up from MD by the shipper and it begins the roughly 1600 mile trek across the country. Shipper says it will be delivered tomorrow but that seems aggressive. We will find out.

I’m glad that mostly worked out. I know for a fact that if I would have tried that at my local dealer they wouldn’t have budged at all. Let’s see some pics of that Tungsten!

Maybe it's because I picked the v6 on the large volume mover Big Horn? I was worried the Ramboxes would slow it down too.
