Wow, so you paid them to fix something that is under warranty, then it wasn't even fixed and you let them keep your money? no wonder they aren't treating you with respect...
I hate to say it, but you need to man up. I would have burned that dealership down if they talked to me like that and then...
I ran a piece of threaded 3/4" pipe through a standard drop hitch with a spacer and a cap screwed under it to hold it in place. $22 in parts at home depot and a few flag clips zip tied to the pole and I was ready to go.
I've ordered this one from amazon...
I hate to break it to you, but that is going to go NOWHERE. Same story for Uconnect or FCA corporate. They will do nothing at all for you. I had a caseworker who did NOTHING but call me once a week for 3 weeks and ask if I had gotten the issue resolved yet, seriously? Just start lemon law or you...
I'm not loyal to them, there's just nothing I liked better to go to really. Now that I've sold the truck I'm a free agent, I'll be looking at chevy/gmc as well as Ram when I buy the next one.
No, because it was not a direct safety issue they refused a buyback on the truck and instead offered a settlement. I didn't feel like going through arbitration so I took the money and continued to wait for the software update that still almost 2yrs later has not come.
Lemon law, at least...
LEMON LAW IT, I DID!!!
Same exact thing happened to me with my Nav8.4 unit. Bluetooth was basically useless. Had it in twice and they told me the same thing they told you. "we will have an update coming at some point" and they were going to do ZERO for me until this magical update arrived. It...
Just sold it to the dealer. I picked up a used square body suburban for cash and I'm going to rock that for a while until the market cools off and then order a 2021 1500 I'm pretty sure.
Damn man, calm down with the exclamation points. Do you really have nothing else going on in life that the spare tire requires this much effort? Class action lawsuit?! SMH...
So, I'll start by saying that I absolutely love my Ram and have zero bad things to say about it. That said, it's a lease and will need new tires and some scratch repairs done before I turn it in next year. So, I figured with the market the way it is I would see if I could buy it out and sell it...
why would you ever turn the fog lights off? Why would you want to see less than possible, My fogs have been on since the day I bought it and the only time they come on for a turn is with the high beems on.
YEAH, WELL AWARE OF THIS, NO NEED TO SHOUT LIKE A MORON.
I have $8500 in lease payments left plus my buyout of $27k plus the sales tax and lease fee = $37k total owed to buy it out. The dealer would only buy it for "residual value" at the END of the lease term, but they ALMOST NEVER do that...
Well, I just got an offer of $39k for my truck from a dealer and $36k from carvana. I guess you can get out from under these leases, I'd actually make a few bucks too. But I can't figure out what I would replace it with so no reason to sell it really....
I'm confused here. I have $9500 left on my lease and my buy option at end of lease is $27,200. so I would have to get $36,700 as a trade in to break even, plus there is a tax hit that has to be paid to buy out the truck as well. Considering you just started your lease, you would owe at least...
I'll keep this one short and sweet to off set your 8 paragraphs of continued rambling.....(J/K).... ( see how adding "J/K" doesn't make it any less insulting?)
Why is my advice less valuable than your advice? your advice has "zero effect" on you as well, what does that have to do with anything...
Wow, you're a super pleasant guy aren't you...
You can't argue with the simple logic of "he doesn't want e torque regardless" so stop quoting him warranty nonsense. That was an afterthought to his main issue of NOT LIKING HOW THE TRUCK DRIVES. So you just start insulting anyone that doesn't...
Well, you got me there, but by your logic then we are both only focusing on 1 aspect of the original post. You are concerned with his truck being under warranty and I say that that doesn't matter if he hates the truck in the first place. And yes, that is an emotional argument, the whole...
he didn't seem concerned about the warranty, he just doesn't like the way the truck drives with the e torque. having an 8 year warranty does nothing to change the fact that he doesn't want the e torque. Losing $2k now and then keeping the new truck for 10yrs is a lot cheaper than trading in this...
