For close to 20 years I've been rotating between Ram and Ford with my trucks. I'm tired of the F150 and I think the whole covid thing has screwed up refresh schedules. The Ram is pretty much the same as my 2019 Ram 1500 Limited 4X4 eTorque. I'm following @securityguy footsteps and going to buy a...
Ok, I've had the F150 for 5 weeks now. Issues so far - zero. Mileage - just under 800 miles. Basically so far so good. There are 2 hot topics over on the F150 forums. Deep sleep - battery dead and rust on the rear ends and exhaust.
Batteries going dead is something Ford is aware of and an over...
I'm following my history over the last 20ish years. Looks like I'm buying a Platinum Powerboost F150 today. Verbally tied it up last evening. Couple of details to iron out this morning. I want to get a deal on a Ford branded Bakflip. Then I have to wait for the storm to end and get everything...
I'm going to keep it for a while longer but..... It's just a truck..... transportation..... and stuff carrier for me now. It's kind of why I haven't been spending a mess of time on here. There's nothing wrong with it and I clean it up nearly daily, still. Unfortunately, being retired, I don't...
So my wife was about 100 miles away from home yesterday and somehow cut a tire. Un-fixable. So she had a friend swap out the spare. Apparently when they dug out the jack and rod a module was knocked loose along with a tab on the plastic cover. Anyway, I can't figure out for the life of me how to...
Just read that the F150 Owners Manual is going digital only. It'll be able to be viewed on the Sync infotainment screen in the truck. I think it's a good thing.
So, I broomed my 1969 Camaro and wanted to replace it with some sort of late model muscle. Looked at Hellcats, ZL1's and Shelby GT500 's.. Couldn't say no to this one. A 2011 GT500 with 2,700 miles on it. Zero mods. The only option is the SVT performance package (bigger wheels, suspension, 3.73...
Is it me or are some signatures just getting out of hand? Meaning the length/size? I realize we all want to know the basic make up of the truck to help with answering questions and all, but holy cow. I've actually thought mine was long and I'd gladly trim it down if y'all want to institute limits.
Just curious if there are more like me. I, unfortunately, get bored with my rides pretty much every year and a half or so. Yep, I've owned this one for a year and a half years now. It's not that I'm unhappy with it. I am quite satisfied with it. Still I find myself reading up on the possible...
After nearly 30 years down here, I'm heading back to Michigan. Bittersweet for sure. Some family health concerns made our decision. For a year and a half we tried to live with my mother in law at her home and bring her to ours in Florida. That was a failure. I decided it made sense to...
I saw on the news tonight therebis a recall coming for computer recalibration for air bag deployment. I guess they aren't activating in some crashes. They said it covers 300,000 trucks. Sounds like all of them built so far.
A few times I've started to reply to a thread and then decided to not reply. Problem is I'm haunted with the reply sitting on the thread.
I've ended up entering nonsense just to get it to go away.
Seems like it should just go away if you back out of the thread. On this forum it doesn't.
I go through the steps to mark everything read and then when I get back on at a later time there are many threads highlighted bold that the last post are maybe 2 or 3 days old even though I marked them read. Long run on sentence but I think you get the idea.
I fought this problem with my last 2 trucks and it's happened again with this one. The seat cover clip in the front unhooks. Both seat covers have come loose on mine. It's a bugger to get it clipped/attached again. Bad design, I think. If they keep popping loose I think I'll take it over to the...
Has anyone found any?
Edit--I've determined no one has engineered anything yet. I'll look into some universal mirrors. I can get by with the standard mirrors with my enclosed car trailer. Just can't see the tires/sides.
So, yesterday I discovered the warning system works. I hopped in the truck to head out for the Perkins bogo breakfast and was greeted with the tire pressure screen displaying all tire pressures in red. Tuesday it was 85 and yesterday morning was 37. The huge temperature swing dropped the tire...
