I keep thinking I'll put a winch there someday, but eh, I can move the light if I do. I really like this setup. Will probably have to get a set of these once I get my controller ordered/mounted. Need rock lights first, but too many other projects going on.

We will be offering some super sweet Diode Dynamics rock lights soon. I am waiting until the first batch starts shipping before I put them on site though because they missed the delivery date on the hitch pods and that was pretty frustrating. The rock lights are supposed to start shipping later this month.

Ah, well, I'll keep an eye out. Would you mind posting them in this thread, since I'm watching it. Or is that too lazy/selfish of me to ask. 😁

Any way you can modify those brackets so the light sits more centered on a Limited? Really want to pull the trigger on this. Optionally, maybe have some vertical adjustability somehow?

The new version does have a second hole for Limited - just have to note it on your order that you need the newest version of the brackets to ensure you receive the one you need. Picture of them on the previous page.

Oh I must've skipped that page/post, thanks! For some reason, the pass-through grill shows it doesn't on my Limited V8 on the Mopar site. Anyone have a Limited that has this installed see any issues with the pass through grill?

We listen to you all and change designs if needed. We only have a fe of the old versions left in stock but if you select Limited and or leave us a note that you want the newest version we are sending those out. We do these brackets at a minimum of 200 sets per order and we changed the design right after we built another run of them. We have shipped out a lot of the new style as well so it has taken a little bit to get through the previous version. I think we are down to two or three sets of the previous version so within the next few days those will likely be gone as well. We are currently only shipping the old version if we know it is a Rebel or TRX as those work perfect on those models.

Yeah, @Liquid Li0n has a 22 Limited with a photo of his see through grill. @Liquid Li0n - did you notice any slight fitment issues putting your Mopar grille insert on or was it a clean fit? Just curious bc I’m about to order everything I need as well. Thanks!

no fitment issues. the open grill (or see through or diesel grill, what ever we call it) is exactly same quality and fitment as the closed one. The only PITA was to take out the brackets where the parking sensors sit. Those are very delicate plastic pieces as you see on my pictures. So take your time for that OR order them also as they are 1 dollar or something.

Good to have backups handy when they’re that cheap! Thanks for the heads up!

I have my lightbar wired into the highbeams, but also have a override switch inside to turn it off.
It's just the basic switch that came with the kit, but I'm happy with it. For where I located the switch you need to put a hole in the visible dash panel, but also need to carve out the panel that is placed behind it as well.

I'm happy with what I have, but I saw a image posted somewhere of a person using a switch that nearly looked factory but couldn't figure out where it was from so I didn't do it. I recently found the switch at tractor supply. I like the look and flush look of this switch, but don't know if it is the same diameter, and question how much deaper it is then what I have.

Anyone know how to specifically wire the switch into your highbeams?
Thanks.

I do not, sorry. But I’m curious - with Canadian weather, wouldn’t you prefer to have a separate switch to use amber only for better visibility?

Hey, thanks but I had a look and can't find that white/green wire.
Can you be a bit more specific?
And I'm assuming you wired that directly to your positive wire to the light bar?

Also I read about your lightbar light output issue. By any chance did you look into how many watts per bulb that bar has? It plays a big part eh.

It was my friend, which is mechanic that did so. I was also there when he did the job. He measured all the separate wires while I was pulling the high beams to see on which small cable of the headlight he had to solder an extra cable. This was the green/white one, but I have to admit that the colors are difficult to see.
He attached that extra cable to the LED light plug that I normally would use for the on/off button.
Cause I have the wireless remote connected so that I don't need a button in the interior.

Installed the DD Amber 30" Combo pattern behind the grill. Am I the only one extremely unimpressed with either the bar or the placement? Puts out very little light, its barely perceptible with the OE LED headlights on.

i think the combo pattern doesn't push out as much or as far. I am seeing similar results w/ all white combo, although mine might be pointing downwards a bit too much. I was going to point it higher and see if that helps one of these evenings (once the rain stops here in California).

We ran the driving pattern in yellow/ amber in ours and we are super impressed. I get photos from customers all of the time with great light output with these bars. I'd love to see your setup and the results to see if there is something we can help with. While I prefer the driving pattern for this bar I have installed combo patterns on 5th gen Rebels with the clear/ white light and they also put out great light. Please shoot us a message and we will see if we can help.
