Hi, yes, in this menu, If I switch from US to metric, or metric to US, it does change from metric to US correctly, or vice versa, but the change only apply on the cluster, the Nav still stay in US.
Strange. Mine switches everything. Maybe you should leave switched to metric for couple days and will update.

I think this is what I will do, one thing at a time and time to everything to settle. Thanks for your help.

Hi. I’m looking at getting the parts for this conversion. I’ve read almost every post in this thread and I made a parts list with everything I think I need. Just looking for some confirmation.

My truck is a 2020 Sport with dual auto climate without lane assist. I think I chose the correct center stack. It has a build date of 02/20 so I think I chose the right radio module. What’s hard to tell is the radio bezel style. Mine is like a gray/dark gray outer with this gloss black diamond plate look on top. I attached pictures of it. Im not 100% sure on the bezel.

List:

68420967AC - center stack (only hazard on top)

6MB16TX7AA - storage bin mat

68429169AE - radio module gray box (2020 Sport, build date 02/20)

68082364AC - lvds cable

6UV473X9AB or AA - radio bezel
6UV481X7AB or AA - radio bezel
(2020 Sport)

- Will re-pin connector
- Already have AlfaOBD and Bluetooth scanner
- Will order this cable for bypass - https://amzn.to/39yXOtu

I think that’s it.

Thank you,

Has anyone found the part number for the new 12" uconnect 5 module so we can test it out to see if an upgrade is possible?

I do have that part figured out. The connector that has nowhere to go needs can hi, can low, power and ground that you can either pull from the HVAC harness or from the back of the radio/ . The issue is that the other functions not working. I tried the same upgrade and I was able to get everything turned on but the climate controls would not work and I have to believe that the earlier post was right, that it could be something with the auto climate or something like that. The infotainment guy did seem to figure it out but they want 4k for it!! yikes!
So Im stuck right now also .
Just curious if you ever got this figured out I have a 2021 1500 bighorn with manual temp control and the climate control will not work

I have a friend who want to do the 12inch conversion, we have sourced some parts, but before to buy them, is all the 12inch screen are universal or you need to buy the specific one for each module part number?

I think screens are universal but differences are with buttons on top next to hazard switch like Line Keep Assisting and Auto Parking.

That make sense, my screen does have an traction control button next to the hazard that I don't use (does not work) as I already have that button right next to tow haul.

I read a lot of the comments on this page when I was trying to upgrade from the 8.4 non-nav to the 12 inch. For those of you trying to do the same, I want to say MVI Inc (look them up in Youtube) sold me all the necessary parts and software needed for me to do the self install. I paid $2,700 plus $62 shipping. Now I have the 12 inch in my truck working flawlessly.

Hmm while everyone one here just about paid around 1600-1700 and you want them to pay $2700?

I spend about $1250 for everything and it is working flawlessly. Just shop around.
Did you purchase it recently? Can you send me the links for the Screen and Head Unit? It's out of stock every where I have checked.

I just don’t think they have that type of patience no way possible I’m paying $2700 or $4000 like another company wants
