What did you do to your Ram today???

@Jidster how is the pedal commander with the Etorque? I am wondering if the lag I feel upon start up could be fixed with one of those.

Thanks!
DAVE

The pedal commander is super fun and does make it spicy when wanted, too much in sport+, but there is still a lag from a stop. BUT it’s been hot since I installed it and the air conditioning is running so it doesn’t shut off the engine, which I think it means that the etorque doesn’t do the half wheel spin? I’ll do more testing.

Gave mine a much needed cleaning.

Also very thankful for vented seats here in this 110+ degree Oklahoma heat. They really help to mitigate the symptoms of swamp a$$.

Hi 4M0, Nice rig! that kayak rack is almost exactly what I'm looking for. I already have the Mopar tri-fold Tonneau but am desperatly trying to find a kayak rack that is compatible with it. Any chance you'd know if the Adarac Contour bed rack is compatible with that? I have the short box
The Adarac contour probably will not work with tri-fold tonneau covers. You have to get the Adarac pro, which has straight uprights. I have the Pro with Lomax tonneau.

Finally mounted my @BRINK WHEELS. The ride is amazing. Love the Mastercraft MXT tires. Wasn’t sure how that was gonna turn out. I love the look. Everything has turned out perfect. Won a set of brinkwheels I wanted to buy. Zero offset has the perfect amount of poke. Finally mounted them. Zero rub. I believe my tires are 34.69inches per internet. Recalibrated my speedo. And dialed it in on the first try. Now to get some professional photos done. Here are some iPhone pics. I don’t have the fancy cameras but 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

Not so much what I did to my truck, but did with and didn't do. This was our first trip pulling the camper with the Hellwig bar. I also bumped the Airlift 1000's up to 45psi. Very happy with the handling.

However, when we got home I was in a hurry and forgot to air down the bags. When I did that in my Frontier it about knocked my teeth out, but I kinda like the ride with these bags at 45. Would definitely take them down to 5 if doing anything much offroad though.

Others have reported issues with parksense when making the tire size adjustment. I haven't done it just for this reason. Any issues for you with parksense after changing tire size?
My parksense is unavailable. Has anyone found a solution?

I am also in Oklahoma. Going to be a rough week with the temps. Vented seats are really nice.

I think you are right on the etorque not adding any wheel motion if the auto shut off is not activated due to climate control. That lag is really annoying at best. Today I thought I was going to bump a car in front of me as I was pulling into a parking space when the engine shut off for half a second then kicked on causing a lurch forward. Your GT is a nice looking ride!

So correct, there is no etorque forward assist after a stop if the truck doesn’t meet the criteria for an auto stop. But I would get that checked out if that happened to you.

The etorque only shuts off the engine when your foot is on the brake (among other criteria) and I know it does rolling shutoffs but again a certain amount of brake pressure is required to allow that.

If your foot is on the gas (or just coasting and not on either pedal) it should never just shut off regardless of speed. It restarts within something like 400ms after taking your foot off the brake BUT there is no half-turn forward movement after a stop/start UNTIL/UNLESS you press the accelerator.

So you should definitely NOT lunge forward just cuz the engine started back up. E.g. like at a light when the engine decides to come back on for heating/cooling. It sits still until you move back to the gas pedal, not when your foot comes off the brake.

I pull into my garage “uphillish” so I don’t like the engine stopping and starting when I do that so I just hit the button when pulling into my driveway now. (Formed a habit so I don’t think about it no mo) but I’ve never had the feeling of possibly hitting another car out in a parking lot whilst pulling into a spot. So again, I’d have that checked as it’s not sposta do that.

Would you share how much $$$ you were out? I take delivery end of the month probably and am tempted. I had 3 cars ceramic coated but was hard pressed to justify the expense. The luster lasted maybe a few months. I can not avoid automated car washes as it gets super cold and frosty in Minnesota. I guess the chemicals in those washes can ruin the ceramic?
For the complete service including a 5 year warranty and yearly maintenance appointments I paid $2000

Yes and no. When I first made the change, I went with the actual reported tire size (in mm) and the parksense no longer worked. However, the measurement was also not accurate and the speedo was off. I ended up reducing 10mm at a time until the parksense worked again, then increased 1mm at a time until it stopped working. Finally reduced it 1mm and have been problem free ever since. I got lucky and my speedo is perfect at all speeds (verified with GPS). If I got any larger than my 35's, I would not be able to calibrate with complete accuracy. Stay under 35's and there is no issue with parksense.
What size in mm did you end up with that worked? My parksense isn't working right now and I'm at 2695mm with speedo reading correctly but getting"active parksense currently unavailable" . Won't auto park anymore. Can someone point me to something that will help.

I'm at 2625mm's without errors.

I will look to see what mine is at. I can't remember off the top of my head.

It looks like I ended up @2705. If I set it to 2706 it stopped working. Try reducing it a bit and then go up or down until you find that highest number that works. It takes some time, but based on mine, and others experience, you are probably very close.
