What did you do to your Ram today???

Drove thru my tile cutting dust so I could see my tread pattern.

So today I installed AJT Design’s shift, climate and radio knobs and AVS ventvisors. Both were super simple installs. Took my time, had a beer and completed the project while it was raining outside. Raven now needs a bath but that will have wait until a sunny day.

Need advice on OE style fender flares. eBay used to sell them already painted but I can’t find them anymore.
Here’s my advice: buy them unpainted and then have a pro shop paint them! I bout the OE style ones on eBay and ended up returning them because of sooo many paint issues. I was embarrassed to have them on the truck lol

Huh. That’s surprising. It was an option in my 13 Charger. I just always figured it was one of those things that falls under “how the basics of uconnect works” type o thing.

EDIT: My bad!!!! Look under “camera” in settings!

On mine, I have the delay switch and lines on/off switch. No third option for dynamic/static.

After doing a lot of research here and other places, pulled the trigger and put in a bed step. I went with the the actual Mopar option and rejected any of the foreign junk that was being peddled on Amazon, eBay and other places.

You will enjoy it. I don't use mine often, but am glad I have it now. Especially since I added 1" rear spacers and taller tires.

That’s baffling to me that you have a surround cam but no guidelines options. Guess I got lucky where it’s just been there. So weird some of the decisions they make.

I’d have to guess it’s hardware/software function conflicts that make these decisions. But who knows?

Just picked up my limited from getting the windows tinted, paint correction, and ceramic coating. The color really pops now. And the tinting makes a world of difference

So here's a weird observation... when I bought my G/T, and knew i did not want the 12" screen, I actually had the option of the plain speakers, or the Alpine 9 speaker system (so i picked the Alpine ones since at my time of ordering the 62million speaker system automatically put you in the 12" screen), and I was also allowed to pick betwixt the Uconn5 and the Uconn5 with Nav... so i got the Nav as that was only like a $500 difference, and in those rare circumstances when car play doesn't work or you don't have a signal, you still have the truck nav... but the visual difference is the Nav version comes with the glossy black bezel and the non-nav came with the matte finish bezel.

After 5 months, I've decided i kinda hate the glossy bezel... almost everything else in there is that matt finish and I rarely have to like clean or dust it, and it doesn't look cheap... but this glossy section around the screen and climate knobs is a dust and finger print magnet (especially with my greaseball Italian paws.) and it makes my otherwise very clean truck almost always look dirty. Obviously this is a very small problem, but its starting to get to me. haha

So I looked into just swapping out the bezel and its like frikkin $125 because it comes with all the controls in it. but i guess on the upside, i can just sell my old one for a hundo to anyone who would rather have the glossy. idk.

Just thinkin out loud about what i MIGHT do to my Ram someday. but maybe thats a different thread.

Would you share how much $$$ you were out? I take delivery end of the month probably and am tempted. I had 3 cars ceramic coated but was hard pressed to justify the expense. The luster lasted maybe a few months. I can not avoid automated car washes as it gets super cold and frosty in Minnesota. I guess the chemicals in those washes can ruin the ceramic?

I like mine too. Wish they made one for the right side.

Could always do a vinyl wrap around the bezel

Installed my Christmas present last night. New Adarac Contour bed rack and tonneau cover. It is less than ideal kayak weather in the Northwest at the moment, but I guarantee you I will be throwing kayaks on for my camping trip with my son in a couple weeks to test the rack out. Will likely swamp the kayaks with rain this time of year here, but it has to be done.

Gave her a bath, installed the red start button for the warp speed, and a pedal commander.

@Jidster how is the pedal commander with the Etorque? I am wondering if the lag I feel upon start up could be fixed with one of those.

Thanks!

Hi 4M0, Nice rig! that kayak rack is almost exactly what I'm looking for. I already have the Mopar tri-fold Tonneau but am desperatly trying to find a kayak rack that is compatible with it. Any chance you'd know if the Adarac Contour bed rack is compatible with that? I have the short box

Not certain but it would have to mount inside the bed rails to work with the Adarac. If it overlaps on top the bed sides it won’t work when the uprights are attached. However, I will tell you there are lots of cost effective tonneau options for inside the rail scenario like the Gator ETX and several others. I will also say that the Adarac works great and you can remove or install uprights in just minutes after initial setup with their rail system.

Yeah I know a lot of peeps do that. But it’s not a thing I’d ever want to do again. I tried it once and spoiler alert: I suck at it/don’t nearly have the patience for it.

Car show in my hometown today. Stopped by the covered bridge in the way out of town. This is the only covered bridge in Nebraska on a public road that you can drive through.

I don't have the Pedal Commander, but the JMS PedalMAX on my ETorque and the difference is night and day. Works wonders!!! Depending on the setting, the lag can be virtually eliminated and even gets a bit wild, full throttle with the slightest press of the pedal, on the highest settings.
