What did you do to your Ram today???

work is slow this week due to the fire and all the evacuations, and many of our customers cancelled appointment to go to the USA to get cleaner air and escape the hellhole of los angeles county.
so i rebalanced my front wheels: the driver side that went through the entire Great North trip last year was off by 1.50oz, while the passenger side front that was sitting at the spare location for the Great North trip was off by 0.5oz.
i thought that would take care of the highway vibration that i was feeling, but I was still getting slight vibration after. Will be rebalancing the rear next week.

The same issue happened to me yesterday after we got 5" of snow in Memphis. After reading the posts, I put my truck in the garage and allowed the snow to melt overnight. This morning I took the truck around the block and it seems to be shifting fine (both in 2 and 4 wheel drive). I can also place it into park, but the check engine light is still on. I'm hoping that if I drive around for a bit it will go out. Otherwise I'll see if I can pull the code it's flagging for. Really weird, but like others have pointed out, it's a horrible design if a freakin truck can't drive in the snow.

Just pull the code now to make sure you aren't causing more damage driving around with an issue.

Only time I've ever had an issue after playing in the snow was when I packed my entire engine bay full of snow, and it didn't happen until it was up against battery. I feel it basically shorted the battery terminals causing some issues. After it melted, zero issues

First two pictures are from when I packed the engine bay, busting through drifts. Last one is another day I was out playing.
I'm on my 2nd Ram and have been debating a Vararam for about 8 years in total now between the two trucks but live in New England and figured with the snow and winters it wasn't worth it... I see you running it in the snow. No problems with that?

As you can see in picture, entire engine bay is packed with snow, but only a tiny amount inside the Vararam.

trading in the ram... i was about to go down the rabbit hole adding options i wish it had. after doing some quick nobrainer math i decided to practice what i preach and get one the way i wanted it but still buying used you will have to make compromises if you don't want to go across the country to get it. so went looking, finding a no e-t truck is tough you have to stick with 2022 and down then when you go up a trim level it gets hard again. i ended up finding a 2019 Laramie crew rwd 90 miles from my house with a regular hemi. i wanted a sport package, i like sporty but classy also works.
it has the same mileage as my 2020 q cab bighorn rwd.
1 owner never in a accident, ivory white with black NOT tan interior, Panoramic Sunroof, 12in radio, 33 gal tank, led bed lights and the rest of the standard 25H laramie package.i got it for a little more than i owed on the 2020
put down my deposit and finalizing the deal saturday. i'm excited LET'S GO!

that pic was trash. when i pulled up it was out front of the ram dealer in the sun looking like a opel, i could hardly contain my excitement, just beautiful. then the stereo, i upgraded every part my bighorn stereo but when i got in my friends limited also upgraded the truck had a completely feel than the bighorn from the door closing to the ambiance i thought it was the new equipment but it's the truck. i now have that feeling in my truck. lastly laramie seats with a console feel way more comfortable and somehow with the 12 inch screen and without the fold down center seat the truck feels bigger. i thought heated steering wheel was a stupid thing i was wrong!
it looked new to me but they apologized for it looking dirty and are detailing it again LOL. i pick it up tuesday after i remove my stuff from the old truck.

Congrats! Here's to many years of enjoyment with this one 🍻

I started using cardboard or an old HF tarp to cover the windshield for frost, just have to use bungies to secure it to the mirror/door handle due to wind. Saves gas instead of sitting there idling. Too lazy to scrape.

I got one of these from walmart a few years ago, best $15 I ever spent

I had one of these when I worked midnight shift. Worked well. Didn't wanna scrape the windshield after work and my little commuter takes forever to defrost. Easier to just take that thing off and hit the road.

100%. My windshield was covered thursday morning. While everyone else was warming up and scraping, I started the truck and had the cover pulled off before the idle came down from a cold start. I hate waiting on the defroster or scraping windshields

Great find, thanks. There's several to choose from on Amazon and Walmart.com. Just read reviews and check the sizing.
For me, needing one for maybe 2 weeks worth of nights in the winter, Cardboard will do.
