What did you do to your Ram today???

GadgetMason, To add some support I did grab some punched flat bar, bent and angled them, and used the existing holes the old air box had used. I also painted the brackets I made flat black. Thank you B4AD311A-09EB-4580-98CA-E1B95D9CFFD4.png

That looks sweet...does it impede your view from inside? Can you share a pic?

It not to bad.

Well, I took the hood deflector off this morning. A bit of a pain to remove all the adhesive, but nothing I didn’t expect.

Mine didn't and doesn't. Opened the door to wake the truck up, no response. Pressed the start button and woke the truck up, no response. As soon as I retracted the running boards and closed the door I hit the entry/exit button on the remote and the truck lowered.

ETA. Read this message in my driveway on the way to the gym. Once I got to the gym I raised the truck deployed the running boards and tried to lower the truck again with the entry exit button on the key fob, no response. Turn the ignition on retracted to running boards turn edition back off and shut the doors and press the entry exit button on the key fob in the truck lowered.

Maybe there's some inconsistencies in the programming of these trucks but mine doesn't lower with the running boards deployed
Yep, mine works every time. The only way it shouldn’t work is if you have tire-jack mode on. Something is wrong with yours. So your statement is not accurate. You said, and I quote, “you can't lower the truck with the running boards deployed. Air ride will, not respond if the running boards are deployed.” That is completely false, with the exception of your defective vehicle. Unless you have one of your Uconnect settings wrong. Tire-jack mode is the only thing that comes to mind that prevents raising / lowering.

My suspension also will not work if a Door is open or the running boards deployed. It is a safety thing.

Yours functioning with the boards deployed doesn't make my statement false or my truck defective.it could very well be yours that defective.
Air ride doesn't function in tire jack mode and as soon as you take the vehicle out of park, tire jack mode automatically disengaes so that's not it. That said, I've not put the truck in tire jack mode

Nor will mine.
I can raise it with a door open but not lower.
I also cannot raise it with the hood open but seems like there's a lot of safety built into it when lowering. Thank you dumb people and lawyers.

Somewhere on this forum ,a member said when in tight parking spot the raise theirs all the way up and put the running boards out, to help with door dings. Since mine is still in shipping I wouldn't know if it works or not. Does this one look lower or raised?

Not choosing a side but maybe the issue could be the difference between models or the year of the truck?
I also remember a form member stating when he parks his truck he deployed the steps out and raised the truck to the max height to avoid dings from other vehicles. Not sure about the lowering to entree mode with them out.
Im to lazy to look it up! Lol
But hope it does lower with them out. One reason i got air ride and auto deployed steps!
Someone with a manual should look this up. I would like to know.
