Today makes 7 days they've had it this time. Starting to loose hope. Thinking I got a bad truck.

This should not still be happening. I had this problem on my build of 06/18. Does RAM have a quality control department. Does anyone at RAM follow this or other forums. Pretty sad....

I feel your pain, my truck has been at the dealer for the last week too. Water leak for me too. Last time it was in ,same problem, they had it for 5 1/2 weeks. It was also at the dealer for a few days to fix a transmission problem. All told, the truck has spent 7 weeks of in the repair shop. I have owned the truck for 5 1/2 months, 3800 miles on the clock.

Here's a pic for reference, you have to reach high...I'm having the same problem. Second pic is the drain tube grommet from the inside improperly seated.

Thanks for the instructions on how to get my backseats folded I just finished fixing the passenger side on my truck that I bought back in December and thank God nothing was wet or anything. Thanks again now I know where that subwoofer is and how to take it out if I ever want to replace it

I own a Limited with just over 2000 miles. I purchased the truck Dec. 23rd, 2018 and the build date is Dec. 2018. I just discovered yesterday that my left rear floor mat is wet. The reason I found out is because I had a small pillow under the left rear seat, when I removed it to use it, it was wet. After reading several comments in this forum I checked the drain grommets in the back of my cab and neither one is in place properly. The left side is completely out of place and the right is partially out. I have an appointment scheduled with my dealer this Thursday. I will definitely bring this to their attention, although they probably already no about the issue since it seems to be a common thing after reading about this in the forum. I only assume this is causing the leak and hope it is nothing else.

Sadly, FCA and Dealerships (maybe not all of them) do not recognize the drain plug problem. My truck was built in June, 2018 and had a problem with the drain plugs. There were others reported on this website before mine and others since.. No telling how many there really are out there, since only a small percentage of owners follow this website. So, it was happening way last year, it was happening in December last year. Sad. How hard could it be for FCA to fix this problem. And Dealers, how hard could it be for them to what should be a double check on FCA. And Ram Care, they do monitor this Forum, what can you say about their responsibility. If all they can do is write a nice little note on here and say they are sorry, or tell you they will contact the Dealer for you, then if they are in anyway corporately connected to FCA, then whomever is responsible in FCA for them should be fired!

I picked up my truck this past Saturday. The first thing I did on inspection was look at the drain plugs and found that both of them were not seated properly. I told my salesman to bring the truck to the service department and have them seat the grommets correctly. I am far too experienced in this issue of water leaking inside the cab. It happened on my gen 2 raptor that I only had for less than 6 months and spent 3/4 of the time in the service department and them trying to figure out where the water was leaking from. They stripped the interior twice because of mold and mildew. Long story short, it was a lemon and ford bought back. Really hoping that this problem doesn't happen to my rebel.

Does the rebel seats fold down like previously pictured with the pull cord? Would like to get back there incase they pop out again and avoid a trip to the dealership.

Since it has been raining non stop for two days I thought I would inspect the truck myself and this is what I found. After removing the carpet panel behind the rear seats, the photos below show the drain tube grommet completely out of place and you can see where the water is leaking in around the hole where the grommet is suppose to be sealing it. Obviously this why my carpet is wet. I have owned the truck for almost seven weeks and I assume it has been leaking the whole time. While I had it apart I stoped by the dealership so they could actually see the water inside the vehicle. They started a work order on it immediately and put the grommets back in place as they should be. They did say they had seen this on one other truck. They also gave me a loaner so they could keep the truck to dry out the carpet.
It is a-shame that something like this slips through and is not caught during inspections at the factory or the dealership before delivery of the truck. Obviously this a common problem after reading this forum. FCA where is the quality control???
I really like this truck and hope it is not an indication of things to come in the future.

Make sure they drop the headliner and check where the drain tubes are attached to the sunroof cassette are installed properly. My right rear tube was not connected in my original truck which caused another point of water intrusion.

I strongly advise putting some silicone sealant around the grommets before reinstalling. A few of us have had water leaking in even with them properly in place.

Seems like FCA is making a big mistake not issuing a TSB and having these inspected/corrected before being delivered to client and/or during next service appt. It’s one thing to warranty items, it’s another to knowingly, after being put on notice repeatedly, allow it to continue. Especially when it leads to a potential environmental hazard like mold which can make people ill. That falls under the category of blantant and wanton disregard and sets themselves up for a class action lawsuit. Just sayin.

mine is a december build so at least it hasn't been sitting in rain since last summer? That's what I'm telling myself so I don't get too upset.

Looking at mine, looks to be the same problem. What do you think? Look to be incorrectly installed? AB4452A3-8FF2-4489-AF0F-0B95ACC4F648.jpeg
