Ultimate OBD JScan Thread

I dont know that it does show up on the radio. I will have to look. Mine just shows up in the center EVIC.

Did you make the same changes I posted above?

You are correct working already thanks how about the rain sensor

That did show up in the radio. I cannot recall if it was immediate or took a short period of time, however, I do not recall any of the mods taking any significant amount of time to work.

Anybody notice this when I scan with the OBD it say a bunch of modules are not communicating

Well my 1st attempt at doing a change using JScan was a flop. I got my by pass cable plugged in and obd reader plugged in also. Turned the truck to run. Tried to connect to the scanner and it would not connect. (I’ve already connected to it before just w/o the bypass cable in place)

Any help would be appreciated

I am trying to change the following:
1. Tire size
2. Fog light drop out
3. Amber drl

I’ve attached the bypass cable I’m using and Veepeak OBD scanner I have

Not being able to connect to scanner would either be the scan tool, your phones or it's not getting power through bypass cable. Make sure the connectors are fully seated on the bypass cable

I’m going to try again tomorrow but I couldn’t connect to my truck via Bluetooth, or my CarPlay carlinkit box, or the scan tool after uninstalling the bypass. I had to restart my phone and “forget” my phone from the truck and scan tool for it to register.

I’m wondering, does the veepeak allow writing changes to the modules? @Jimmy07

Ive been using the same setup as yours and never had a problem connecting or programming. Sorry I cant be more help but I have never had any issues, it just seemed to work seemlessly. I wonder one of the pieces or hardware is failing? Have you tried just connecting to the ODB port and not using the bypass at all to see if the reader will connect to the phone and app?
