I took my truck in today for its for service. I mentioned the issue with the dash display not saving theme and my dealer has never heard of this problem but they did admit that they haven't had many 19s in yet for any sort of warranty issue. (small town dealer. Only seen a very few 19s on the road here)
I have been told to try back in the early spring months for a software update.

Another user who's also having same issue with speed cluster losing the blue theme setting upon random startup... It will keep sometimes for several days and then randomly reset... However, Radio cluster stays on selected theme... So annoying... 2019 laramie btw
2019 Laramie with the same theme problem, I also have a probelm with nav, works the first time turn it on the if you turn it off for say 10 min will not work again till it sits for about an hr. I have the level 2 package with the hd radio. Brought it to the dealer and they got authorization to replace the radio. They replaced it with a non HD radio and it still have the nav problems, don't know if the theme problem was fixed. Brought it right back to the dealer and now waiting again. This is my 4th ram and I'm beginning to regret my decision to purchase the 2019 ram.

As far as I know, they still don’t have a fix for this yet, which is beyond me. How hard is it to put out an over the air software update!

Agreed...I don't think changing a theme is a top priority for FCA...it wouldn't be if I worked there either.

I had the same problem. Drove me nuts setting and resetting until I figured it out. It is tied to the seat setting. Problem solved.
Setting the seat memory presets works for the infotainment system (theme, radio/xm presents) but my instrument cluster always reverts back to the default theme within a day.

Is there anyone who has changed themes and hasn't witnessed the instrument cluster revert to the default?

I tried that, but didn’t work for me! Changed theme, set to memory, shut down truck, came back and reverted to stock on instrument cluster.

@RamCares Has there been any updates on the instrument cluster Theme reverting back to default after turning off and restarting the truck?? I have had the same issue. I have taken it to the dealer and all they say is there are no updates. Is there a star case for this yet??

No issues since I got the truck new in August. I keep mine on the Longhorn theme.

The theme in the instrument cluster only resets if I auto-start the truck. Then it reverts to the default theme 100% of the time. The 8.4 Nav screen keeps the theme setting perfectly. It’s a little thing, but I’ll be glad when they fix it. ;)

Mine used to only reset when using the remote start, but now it does it all the time. Reset to the Longhorn theme (way better than the drab stock theme) every morning and it holds for the day. And after paying close attention - the change occurs after the animated mileage roll up during initial start up of the display. Dealer has said a couple times that a "first quarter software update" will address this. After several months of waiting, I filed a complaint with FCA - who forwarded it to Uconnect customer care.

Received a call from Deidre form Uconnect yesterday. She said they never heard of this issue, there is no star case open for it, and there is no upcoming software update on the way.

I agree this is just an annoyance, but seems like an easy fix. And just who is lying? FCA - Dealer? Perhaps Ram Cares can lend a hand here, but Lydia doesn't seem interested either.

FCA is lying. This has been reported multiple times. I’ve called about 5 times now checking on updates. I keep being told “it’s coming”.

Yeah, that's what I'm seeing. It typically holds for about a day. I think my record is three.
mine has kept the theme I changed it to, since the 3rd day I had it... so about 2 months, no problems.
Shh! Don't let it hear you!

Yeah, I've caught it switching a couple of times, too. I can't recall if it's ever happened afterward (i.e. while driving). I don't think so.

I figured as much, after going off on Deidre yesterday I was trying to be nice. But I wouldn't put it past the dealer to say what he say's either - just to shut us up. Doubt he even forwards the complaint. I think I have a record somewhere talking about the 1st Q update though, if that means anything.

I also complained about the lack of voice texting. She said it only works with Apple or Android car play. When I told her my 2016 had this feature without using that phone software, she said that the 16 radio was a different manufacturer and the 19's are made by Panasonic (I've read this somewhere). But besides some minor graphics updates - the software sure seems the same to me. Besides, who cares who makes the radio - you'd think it was just a software tweak.

And while I'm venting, I also complained about not being able to adjust the display brightness. It's either full bright or very dim. Dimmer switch is useless. Take it off the first detent and it goes very dim, then probably only adjust about a lumen the rest of the way down. 2016 was the same, you think after 3 years they would fix that.

Typical large company though, very little oversight and communication between channels - guess we'll have to keep knocking on the door till we open the right one.

Mine is not quite two months old and I've been able to replicate the issue. Mine will revert back after a few days. I've changed it 3 times now to test.
