Order Tracking

Here is one that will make you scratch your head. On March 7th I placed my order for a GC Ram Rebel QC. Jumping ahead I entered "I" status on April 27th and remained there for 26 days. How could it take this much time to inspect a vehicle was the question I asked Customer Service. They opened and escalated a case for me and here is whats happened to the Rebels that have not hit the ground outside of SHAP. They have been "boned" it seems as I just received notification of my build now being fast tracked and its presently in "F" status with an entirely new vin number. My original KN54**** has become KN60****. As this is my 5th FCA build I have never even heard of such an event happening. I have no idea if they actually scrap these things or fix and sell used. Anyone with any knowledge of something like this having happened in the past I would greatly appreciate hearing about it as I enjoy being educated.
I feel for you. But as much as I want my truck (still in D status due to eTorque and RamBox) I'd much prefer to wait longer and get a solid build. If they were inspecting for a month, I'm imagining a lot of back and forth with QA and engineering, only to start over, tells me you didn't want that particular truck any way.
Even if you never find out why.

KZ OD – mechanical failure, glass damage, vehicle in repair, lacking parts or storage hold
KZ OG – damaged vehicle, stolen vehicle, abandon to carrier, vehicle scrapped, donate vehicle, repair and auction
KZ Y1 – major damage – must not be sold as new
KZ Y2 – major damage – vehicle sold at auction

I would imagine one of these codes will be that trucks future.

Maybe your rebel was one of those 2500 RAMS that were waiting to be inspected that a few news outlets ran stories on that were just sitting at the factory. I think electronic issues were mentioned as being the issue for those.

Did we ever find out if those trucks were of just one trim type or just some random 2019 trucks across the board?

Getting some conflicting info.....

As of 8:30pm last night on JeepGarage it was D1
As of 11:30pm last night on Ram chat it was D1
Called Ram this morning - KZ?! Invoiced and waiting to ship?Ram chat still says D1....I pinged my dealer to see what they are showing....so we'll see what today brings!

Ordered

VIN issued -
4/25
D1 - 5/1(5/9)
Estimated Ship Date - 5/19
Updated
(5/22) Estimated Ship Date – 5/26
KZ

Well damn. Dealer and another call into Ram say it's still in D1...

I wonder if FCA has their own little "Area 51" somewhere in Michigan.

Yeah its called Sterling Heights, MI where they assembly the 19's

I always tell myself.

“Ok I just checked on my trucks status and nothing changed. I’ll wait a week and check again so hopefully something happens while more time passes.”

Then less than 24 hours later I can’t take the suspense of not knowing and log myself into an online customer chat haha.......

My Limited truck (no ram box or e-torque) has been in JS status for 40 days. That means it has been built and awaiting final inspection for 40 days. I finally got Ram Chat to acknowledge last week, that there is a problem with the back seat. They don't know if it a part missing or damaged. And I have been told, pending seat repair, it will be "fast tracked" also. LOL! I would think, if they are turning out 1000 trucks per day, they could replace any seat part or the whole seat for a sold ordered truck! 10 weeks and waiting.

well, my experience with building things. There are lots of guys building, 2 guys checking and one guy fixing.

So now figure the numbers the plant has and you will see how that pans out.

Assembly lines work if everything goes as planned, a hiccup and it is all for not.

If it sits in a status more then 30 days you can file a complaint with the online chat. I did that when I was in D1

Wow. it should not take that long to fix a problem,. If they can't fix it in a timely manner, build a new one pronto!

I agree! Very shocked a new order hasn't been placed or one located for you.

what kind of jokers are operating that plant. In the past week and a half, my truck went from D1 to D and now my dealer calls me and tells me it went to C status. What a joke.

My truck has arrived at the dealership. I ordered this May 1st, and it has arrived May 25th. It is completely loaded without the ramboxes nor e-torque, otherwise it has every option you can ask for.
I am so excited and cannot wait to show you guys the photos, but unfortunately I will not be able to until my wheels and rims arrive. Go figure, youd think they would be waiting for the truck but with this miraculous build and ship time frame, now I am waiting on Fuels and Nitto's arriving. Just my luck.
Happy Memorial Weekend to all, and thank you to all servicemen and women.

Congrats! That has to be a record.

I Don't know how familiar anyone here is with Dodge's "IF YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW"
1f608.png
campaign, but they literally kept you waiting a week at a time for new info on the Demon.

I know how aggravating this is (as most of the posts here have to do with "THE WAIT"

So, although it sucks, it could be worse

Glad to hear so many people are getting their trucks now.

Sorry, @BZ23 that you still have to wait...but it will be finished when you get it and hopefully you won't have to be without it.

So just to confirm, no one with Ramboxes (sorry, etorque wait doesn't apply to me
263a.png
) has had their vehicle built yet? I just read through everyones orders and I think I know Kramersp, Slim and CJGerson all have ramboxes. As of today I am in D, but I only ordered last week. I think I read someone said late June, but I dont know if they were saying delivered or possible build date.

I would love my truck ASAP....but something also wants me to have a few hundred ramboxes go down the line before mine
