Lets just add oil weight for the cherry on top while we're at itanother MPG thread to top it all off?
It would add moreto the already over inflated cost of the truck and provide little to nothing other than more cabin
If they all came with this intake the cost difference would be nothing. Also, I bought this truck with a V8 because I like the sound provided under acceleration! And like others have said, I just wanted to.It would add moreto the already over inflated cost of the truck and provide little to nothing other than more cabin noise
Your money, your truck, go for it.If they all came with this intake the cost difference would be nothing. Also, I bought this truck with a V8 because I like the sound provided under acceleration! And like others have said, I just wanted to.
Exactly.Your money, your truck, go for it.
Besides looks and a little noise the only practical benefit is that it frees up a lot of room under the hood to make installing mods such as a second battery, air compressor and the like much easier and cleaner. The re-usable air filter is nice, but there are much cheaper alternatives for that.seeing the Mopar intake it looks awesome. BUT I would like to know if it is actually doing anything besides looking cool. I didn't read all 51 pages but from my experience with CAI's I am assuming the gains without a tune and stuff like a larger TB and exhaust would be minimal
Yes, it also works with e-torque.
I was interested in getting a performance filter like K&N but can’t find.So far, no. But, the included filter is reusable.
Thanks for photos, they answer my questions "will it fit etorque" (yes) and "do I need to remove engine cover' (no) and "does it really clean up passenger side inside fender" (yes).
I've been considering buying this. Currently have an Air Raid CAI on 2019 Ram 1500 Limited. Very happy with it but MOPAR seems to be getting stricter on non-factory mods. MOPAR CAI is about 800 ish and install on top of that. AIrraids and K&N are a third of that price. Maybe Santa will drop a new MOPAR CAI down my chimney. Mopar's “Ram Airflow” Cold-Air Intake System For Ram 1500:
Back in February 2018, the Mopar brand released a bunch of aftermarket parts for the 2019 Ram 1500 at the Chicago Auto Show. Most of those parts were showcased on their Mopar-modified 2019 Ram 1500 Big Horn Sport 4×4. One of those parts shown was the “Ram Airflow” cold-air intake system. The new...5thgenrams.com
Used to be, after a cold start, the first time I put it in drive I'd get a hesitation when accelerating once and then everything would be normal. Since I installed the Airflow the hesitation is gone.Just joined the group by adding the Mopar CAI. All I can say it that I love it. It cleared up the engine bay and left a good spot to add an air compressor or a second battery down the road. I can agree with a few folks that say it does make the truck feel smooth when accelerating. I don't think I gained no crazy power or torque, but something just feels different in a good way. I might have to add my Borla muffler back on it when I come back from my 2500 mile trip to Aspen. Going to definitely put some miles on it and see how it performs.
I like mine for many reasons, but bang-for-the-buck is not one of them. If you are looking for a good power-gain/positive-effects to $ ratio, this is not an efficient upgrade, especially if you already have a larger filter (like the S&B).I currently run a s&b enclosed Cai. Do you guys think it's worth switching over to the mopar one?
