I didn't have any codes, lights, or issues after install. Definitely doesn't feel more sluggish, if anything a little more peppy but nothing crazy. Just looks and sounds nice.

I agree - the most likely way to get a code would be to have a poor connection...

Seat of the pants says that there is more power and more importantly, I like it...

My wife has been driving back and forth to work one hour each way with my truck last couple of weeks in multiple snow storms and we have had no issues with the Mopar intake or snow getting in it if that helps.

So far, no. But, the included filter is reusable.

I was at my dealer yesterday and as BigRick had posted earlier in this thread, 68414387AA is the part number for the replacement filter. The problem is I was told, after my dealer made some calls, Ram doesn’t have a vendor making the filter (or any individual parts for the airflow kit) yet. So I actually ordered the filter which immediately went to “backordered” and as soon as they know a price and availability they will call.

For me this is a consideration for purchase. What if something goes wrong with the filter? Most consumables are not covered under any warranty. The only way to get a new one is to buy a new kit at $800. It seems unnecessarily complicated that no one is able to get them.

OK...please help me further. I have been driving cars for over 40 years. I have had K&N, AirAid, Volant, AEM filters and maybe a few more over the years. I have never heard of anyone having a filter failure, especially a filter that is of the high quality of the ones that can be cleaned and reused. Unless you do some idiotic during the cleaning process, or drive over it with your truck, this filter will outlast your truck. Based on the cost of the RAM AIR kit, which is insanely overpriced as it is, I guarantee you this filter will have a price tag on it for >$200+ and wouldn't be surprised if it was actually far more than that knowing how MOPAR prices its parts. Unless you will enjoy seeing this VERY expensive filter sitting in your garage for years and years collecting dust, I think there are far better things to spend your money on, or worry about, besides a filter that will outlast you! Just my opinion

I’m happy for your good fortune over your long driving experience. I care about replacements not for pre-purchase or collecting, but for convenience. If I were to need a replacement, not even being able to source one is, again, unnecessarily complicated..... The low risk of needing replacements seems sufficient for you and many others to purchase and enjoy this and/or similar products. Again, it’s a consideration for me at least on an already “insanely overpriced“ kit. Having a plan for potential failures seems reasonable but that’s just my opinion

I'd like to have 1 spare filter. That way, I take one out to wash it, and while I'm doing that (or its drying), I install the 2nd unit in the truck. Once its time to wash the 2nd unit, while I'm washing/drying that, I put the 1st unit in. Never have to wait.

Interesting. Honestly I had some interest in looking around to see if I could get an extra filter if I needed one.
BUT, I rest a little better knowing that the odds of actually needing one are very, very low - that the lifespan on these things is pretty damn good.

Went to the parts department why I was waiting on the truck.

They were unable to find a part number for a replacement filter at this time.

Hopefully an aftermarket filter provider will step up to the plate with another dry washable filter replacement.
