She called yesterday and made an appointment with the dealer for this Friday at 8:30. Hope this fixes the problem.

Is there any way to know or check if this was applied to a vehicle?

I had the 4/13 TSB applied yesterday. The service manager was well aware of the issue as they had been through the complete run-around with Chrysler on a couple of other trucks to no avail. He first told me that the tests for applying the 4/13 TSB failed and he wasn't sure it would help. I said it had fixed everyone else so far on the internet so let's go for it. They applied it, he drove it and said it may have helped it, but it's still there. I'm still testing but I would agree. I had two things that would start the noise -- consistently when MDS (cylinder deactivation) is engaged, or occasionally when I have people in the back seat whether MDS is active or not. The first is still the case, though it may have quieted the noise some. I'm wondering if what I'm getting now is an actual vibration/tone change in the muffler when it's running on 4cylinders. If I deactivate MDS it goes away as it always has. I had my kids ride in the back seat for a short distance last night and it didn't hum, but the drive wasn't long enough to say for sure that it's gone. I had ordered the ANR disconnect from LLJ Customs that is referenced here about the same time the TSB came out. It was delievered last week, I guess I'll open it and try that to see if it changes the MDS noise.

that TSB Fixed it for me look ill tag the code they used to update and see if it matches what they did for your truck I am confident that it fixed it. I have not heard it since and it did it every time MDS was active.

Had my update done today. Haven't heard anything as of yet but will try with back seat passengers , that's when I heard it the most before .

Hi geo kam,
Recently there was a Technical Service Bulletin (08-033-19) that appears to address concerns similar to the symptoms that you are having with your vehicle. To ensure this TSB applies, we would like to get you back into the dealer to have a qualified technician review the details of the TSB and specifics of your vehicle. Once reviewed, the technician can then perform the repair procedure that best matches the symptoms and diagnosis of your vehicle. Lydia, The noise happened a third time and I got it to the dealer to hear it. They said it was a electronic noise cancelling device on the frame and there was a TSB on that particular problem. They took care of it in 15 min. Thx for your concern geo kam

Had the update TSB 08-033-19 done this week because of the hum noise and so far so good.

My USB ports upfront worked intermittently as well and they fixed that with an update to. 1828.08 to 1828.10

Since you're observing the issue when MDS is active, I have to wonder if there's a problem with the Active Tuned Mass Modules?

Does anyone know if this flash can be used to fix this exact problem im having, but on a Durango SRT?

This is absolute madness this drone issue has been problematic for so long and Ram has done little to fix it... I’m one visit away from a lemon law vehicle here in Florida and I’m waiting on a software update that I have little faith in when it gets here and it’s a month over due from what my service Mgr says... Ram would be smart to buy back some of these Vehicles that consistent makes the sound and have vehicles that actually make the drone sound.. heck I only got 1500 miles on mine and it’s been doing it everyday since I turned 200 miles...
After my next visit ( whatever they try to fix) , I will be contacting a lemon law attorney to start the process... I love my Ram , I don’t want to return it... this noise is driving me buggy and ruining my new truck experience
@RamCares any help would be appreciated

I haven’t posted here for awhile simply because, it took the dealership over 2 months to get the parts needed for my truck.

I am dropping it off on May 9th. They are going to replace whatever it is in the Amp that, supposedly is responsible for the “fake wheel bearing” noise at 1250rpms when coasting. They are also going to replace the faulty rear view camera, the faulty and melted drivers side mirror. Still waiting for the new steering wheel to arrive (also frayed from the heater coil)
To be quite frank, I’ve already contacted 3 Lemon Law attorneys. At this point, I am waiting for 25 days total in service to occur - then we file a case.

Currently, driving with the humming sound effects, with drivers side rear view mirror that’s useless at night, without a backup camera and a frayed steering wheel.
Already having more issues on my list but, I am going to pace myself with the service calls. Luckily, I am not under any pressure to get everything fixed right away (with the exception of the safety issues of not having usable mirror and camera) To be totally honest, I am pretty disappointed with the quality of my truck. The design is outstanding, just lacking the excecution....

Yesterday morning I had a CEL come on so I went by the dealer and while in the service bay they took care of the code and I asked about the booming noise. They asked if I had 30-60 minutes to apply a software update that was just released on April 13th to fix the booming/ANC problem. I waited 15 minutes and done. Drove the truck last night and not once did the booming noise happen!
The update fixed it.

It has been 2 weeks since I had the flash done and have had 2-5 adults in the truck and the update certainly fixed the drone/boom noise.

I have 3100 miles on my Ram, first 1200 miles no noise, just took a trip and at 2000 miles drone or humming started. Got back from trip 5/6/19 took Ram in with copy of service bulletin 08-033-19. Scheduled appt. yesterday they said they performed flash software fix, test drove it, they say it is fixed. I will have to drive it to see. Truck built 7/18. Technology is great but only when it works. Ram must get it right or the PR for the truck of the year will take a major hit. Thank you forum members for alerting me to the problem so I didn’t have to think I was nuts in hearing the noise!

Update: just picked up my truck from the shop after waiting over 3 months for parts to arrive. The Noise cancelling module had been replaced and, driving home from the dealership, I was Unable to reproduce the issue. Going to give it a few hundred miles before getting over excited, lol!

They’ve replaced my backup camera as well as the driver side mirror that turned amber on me, during the winter. (Using the heater to de-ice)

Finally got some back seat passengers and took a ride to see if I still had the noise. Yep, it's gone , the update fixed it. Thanks Ram cares for taking care of this for me. Cherlene was great to deal with.

Well...............LMFAO! The booming sound is still present!
Had the flash upgrade done, followed by the NC module (or whatever that is) replaced. Have to admit, it’s now a bit harder to reproduce: only happening on long downhills but, it’s all the same. Speakers vibrate, door crards vibrate as well, still around the same frequency of about 40-41hz. Going to call the shop tomorrow but at this point, I am running out of options / hope of this ever getting fixed. Pretty bummed.....

Just posted my update a few secs ago. My issues are still “booming”
