Loud Rumbling/Revving Noise

My Ram Cares case manager called me this morning and told me they still didn't have an update for mine yet,, maybe she is just behind the times. I do know the updates are build date specific. I'm not real sure when my truck was built.

Hi Zebber,
I have noted this TSB in your case and requested your case manager update you! If you do not hear from your case manager within the next two business days, please let me know!

Yes, the same thing happened to my new gen 2019 ram bighorn. I shut it off and restarted it and the percussion noise was gone and it happened 2 weeks later, its going to be hard to get it to the dealer while this is happening because the noise is so elusive. Let me know how u make out. Thx GeoKam

Hi geo kam,
Recently there was a Technical Service Bulletin (08-033-19) that appears to address concerns similar to the symptoms that you are having with your vehicle. To ensure this TSB applies, we would like to get you back into the dealer to have a qualified technician review the details of the TSB and specifics of your vehicle. Once reviewed, the technician can then perform the repair procedure that best matches the symptoms and diagnosis of your vehicle. Please send us a private message if you would like any additional assistance with this concern.

yes can you please post this TSB! I'm having the same issue!

Do these show up in our “campaigns” in the Mopar app if they apply to us? This definitely applies to me but I don’t see it there

Gonna post this elsewhere too, updating my ANC saga, good news. TSB 08-033-19 software flash worked for me, ANC is hooked back up and finally not droning at me! If you’ve disco’d yours because it was malfunctioning consider getting the TSB done and hooking it back up.

Not sure if it is actually working TBH since it is so subtle, but it isn’t humming anymore!

Man had this happen for the first time today, scared the crap out of me thought my engine was in some sort of run away rev until I realized the rpms werent changing

Do these types of things show up in your campaigns if they apply to you? I have a build date of 2/19/19 5.7 6 speaker no etorque

Not necessarily, but I’ve had good luck going in and describing my problems to the service techs in the same terms Ram uses in these TSBs, and at times simply telling them the TSB # to look up.

If yours works don’t worry. If it makes the humming noise, tell them about TSB 08-033-19.

I have periodic noise where I’m driving alone and it sounds like a semi is by me downshifting

[/QUOT] Thanks! I'll be contacting my service rep. with this information tomorrow. I've only had my 2019 2wd Ram Bighorn Crew Cab for a couple of weeks now, and the loud hum is making my ears/head hurt.

Lower window by about 2” if able (not too cold), it deactivates ANC.

You can also easily unplug the ANC Module under the driver’s seat, but this will shut down your whole audio system so is just a temporary inconveniencing fix. Head will feel better tho.

Is it still not droning? They did the update for mine today I hope it works

Called dealer service, explained and gave them the TSB info, and have a service appt. set up for next Thursday. Hope it works, too. Thanks.

Mine is not droning after the latest software update. Not sure if they fixed it or just shut it off but at least it’s not a nuisance any more.

I have mine going in on Tuesday. I’ll report back as well.

Yesterday morning I had a CEL come on so I went by the dealer and while in the service bay they took care of the code and I asked about the booming noise. They asked if I had 30-60 minutes to apply a software update that was just released on April 13th to fix the booming/ANC problem. I waited 15 minutes and done. Drove the truck last night and not once did the booming noise happen!
The update fixed it.
