Hi guys, name is Robert, new to the forum. Owned my 2019 RAM Bighorn blacked-out option since May. I came across this same issue today, turned the truck on, and the muffler ( at least that's what I thought it was) sounded like it was amplified. Drove off from the parking lot, and there was like a humming pulsating sound, and it got louder as the transmission downshifted. Drove it like that for about 1/2 mile, pulled to the side, turned it off/on and it went away. I guess I'm not the only one that has come across this, anybody found why this happens? Truck has just over 7000 miles on it. Thanks
Hi, I just bought a new Ram 1500 Big Horn with 4600 miles on it and it has a nearly identical problem. The intermittent noise seems similar to a 60 cycle hum in electrical power systems. It started at about 30 miles an hour and lasts about 15 seconds then stops for about 15 seconds and repeats. So, when I pull over, I put it in park, shut the engine off, open the door to stop all electrics and close it again. I start it up, no change from 2wd, and drive off. It's gone. Went home and put 40 psi in the 18 inch tires because one of the TPMS right front wheel registered below 31 psi. Have not tried it yet today but will.

The original TSB 09-033-19 has been superseded by TSB 09-056-19. Same ANC symptoms as described in this thread and instructs the dealer to reflash the ANC module.

I’m a new user so forgive me if I’m not posting this correctly but I’m adding tagging in on this to see if everyone is having the same issue I am? It’s a light to medium vibration, that makes a noise that almost sounds like a dump truck with its jake brake on going down a hill. Does is around 1400-2200 rpm. Doesn’t matter what gear or drive selection, or what surface you are driving on, seems to get better around 70 mph. Is really bad from 25-55 mph. Shakes my door panels, took some videos of it, and you can hear it clear as day in the videos.

We certainly understand why this would be concerning, Shouldofboughtanotheryota. If you have not done so already, we recommend having this diagnosed by your local Ram dealer as they are in the best position to provide assistance. If you decide to proceed in this manner and you'd like an additional layer of assistance while you work with your dealer, please feel free to send us a PM. We'd be happy to help.

Same issue with my 2019 for over 8 months now. I have yet another appointment at the dealership today after an FCA engineer asked me to come in again... This is completely ridiculous. It's a known problem and the noise cannot be replicated. FCA knows this yet it's our problem...

I have video also. When the tech drove my truck and couldn't hear anything, I plugged my phone into the truck and let him watch and listen. All he said was, "Damn, that's loud". No solution, no call back, nothing. I've had to purse help for months. Back to the shop in a couple hours.

Hi CROW,

I sincerely apologize for the trouble you are experiencing with your truck and any frustration that has been associated with your situation to this point. If it would be of interest, I would be happy to escalate a case on your behalf for an additional layer of assistance while you work with your dealer. Our team is just a private message away.

I appreciate your offer, but I am currently working directly with FCA. The dealership and I did some testing on the active noise cancellation to try and replicate the problem. Pulled some history from the module and sent that to the FCA engineer that we have been working with. I should be hearing back from FCA today or tomorrow. If you feel like you can further assist, I'm all for it; However, I have a direct connection to FCA and it is being looked at. No resolution to a well known problem. We'll see what happens.

I got a harness and by-passed my ANC and was actually perfectly happy with the way the truck sounded. However, on principle I argued with my service manager to just go ahead and follow the TSB regardless of their worthless opinion and guess what????? It worked! the drone noise is gone. Man it would be nice if the dealership mechs could follow simple instructions........

New guy here. I have a 2019 Ram 1500 and have been experiencing a humming / vibration noise as well for the last 4 months. 8,500 miles on it. It happens around 1400-1500 RPM, regardless of gear. If I use cruise at about 1400 RPM it comes and goes. If I downshift manually it goes away as well. I have taken it to the dealer and 2 different service guys and have been able to cause the sound so they have heard it. They have handed it off to STAR (whatever that is) and I haven't heard a thing. I am guessing this is similar to what many of you are experiencing. I've called FCA customer service and they are not able to help me either. I had a 2014 Ram 1500 and never had any of these issues with it. Getting to where I'm sorry I traded it in.

Hello, I purchased my beautiful black Ram Bighorn in May 2018 and to date have logged 5500 frustrating miles on it. It seems this truck is plagued with the familiar loud intermittent humming noise. One never can tell when it will rear it's ugly head. So far it has been in the shop 4 times and the service dept. has not yet been able to diagnose the problem. fortunately for me they have heard the awful annoying noise so they know that I am not crazy. Company created a case but after two weeks and no problems they dropped it. yesterday the noise and vibration returned. So far dealership has replaced the cats and upgraded the transmission computer. neither have helped resolve the issue. Same old if it's not doing it when you come in we can't find the problem. Definitely having buyer remorse.
I have the same issue, a intermittent feedback noise./low frequency hum. Comes and goes at any speed. It builds up and stops. If I put it into neutral mid noise, it stops immediately. But it temporary for a couple minutes. So... drive train associated. And, the dealer cant find it, even when hearing it. W.t.h.

I'm very sorry to hear that you are also experiencing this concern, Joe. To clarify, have you already addressed this with your dealer? I would be happy to learn more details of your situation via private message to determine how to best assist you at this point. Hope to hear from you soon.

I am to having the same problem! I have little over 1100 mile and it seems the vibration noise just gets worse. Before I take it to the dealership has anyone figured out what exactly the problem is so I can discuss it with them.
Thanks

Unrelated but I just wanted to say the stripes in your profile pic look so cool! Reminds me of the Viper, I dig it!
