1C6SRFHT2MN583901 with regular mirrors has also "Trailer camera wiring preparation package by Mopar" Any influence to cvpm?
No, that prep is irrelevant to surround view.

The dealership did verify that 68451000AE will fit the VIN you provided for 2021 with surround, @Jimmy07. Even they're backlogged for 2+ weeks to get it at 650 bucks a pop. Shows in transit from the supplier. Who knows if it's accurate?

@Jimmy07 provided 2 VINs with and without tow mirrors. I run throw several dealers, all of them confirming 68451000AE is for non tow mirror 2021, Gave them several VINs. Did not check VIN with tow mirror yet.

1C6SRFHT6MN652797 is the VIN I had my local dealership check to verify fitment. They said it's the right number for it, then again, who knows who you've got at the parts counter checking this stuff?

That VIN was for tow mirrors, that's means 68451000AE is the only number for 2021. Really strange. Still waiting for few more emails from the different dealers. From my understanding 68318033AI should work for non-tow mirrors 2021, because I see no any differences with 2019-2020

After installing the 360 Surroundview Camera System, I decided to put this together to help others. I know there are several others who have done this. If you have any extra input, please let me know. I will start with the parts list first. Make sure to read the notes. You may need to find the correct part number depending on your configuration or color. It was about $1200 using used items. About $2200 new.

Parts List
1 of CVPM - 68318033AI (Uconnect 4) or 56029968AD (UConnect 5)- This goes in the passenger kick panel. It comes with the mounting bracket.
4 of Camera - 68144068AD - It is the same camera. To save money, I bought used mirrors off of eBay and took the cameras out of them. The mirrors don't need to be in good condition.
1 of Driver Side Mirror - 68276511AG - These vary depending on blind spot monitoring, cap colors, and other options. I bought used ones from eBay.
1 of Passenger Side Mirror - 68276510AH - These vary depending on blind spot monitoring, cap colors, and other options. I bought used ones from eBay.
1 of Front Cam RAM Mount - 68341467AC - This could be different depending on the grill you have.
1 of Front Camera Bracket 1 - 68341480AB - Holds the front camera in the RAM mount.
1 of Front Camera Bracket 2 - 68365873AB - Holds the front camera in the RAM mount.
1 of Tailgate Handle - 6RN80GW7AA - This will vary depending on the color and type of tailgate you have.
1 of 16.5' Fakra Z - Male to Female https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HP647BX - Front Camera to CVPM
1 of 10' Fakra Z - Female to Female https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P2VBYWZ - Driver Side Mirror to CVPM
2 of 6' Fakra Z - Female to Female https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P5CTDFY - Pass Side Mirror to CVPM, CVPM Output to Radio
1 of 6' Fakra Z - Male to Female https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MT4WGCG - Rear Camera from Radio to CVPM
1 of 3' Fakra Z - Male to Female https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P2WYP98 - Tailgate Camera Adapter
2 of #6 3/8 Stainless Screws - These are needed to install the front camera in the RAM
1 of Front Camera Jumper Harness - 68322480AD - This isn't really necessary, but it allows you to disconnect the camera easier when removing the grill.
1 of Wiring Harness for CVPM - Jimmy07 can make this for you. Just send him a PM.

Keep in mind that some of the parts listed above need to be researched depending on options on your truck.

The install is pretty simple, but time consuming. I am not going to go into detail on each item. I will give an overview. You can find videos and instructions on removing the items on YouTube and here.

Front Camera:
You need to remove the grill. Once it is removed, you need to remove the RAM letters and replace it with the new one with the camera. Too me, this was the longest part of the build. You can install the jumper harness now too.

Rear Camera:
You need to remove the tailgate handle and replace it with the one with the new camera. And NO, you cannot use the old camera. The new cameras have a wider degree of view. Use the Tailgate Camera Adapter cable in between the factory cable and the new camera.

Driver's side and Passenger side:
Replace the mirrors with the new ones. You will need to install the cameras in the mirrors unless you bought used ones off that already have them installed.

Running the cables:
I ran the front cable down the driver's side and went through one of the firewall rubber gaskets. Make sure to seal it back. I then ran the driver's side mirror and this one together under the dash over to the CVPM. The passenger side doesn't need much running as it is right there. You need to remove the radio. You will unplug the rear camera and plug in the cable to run it to the CVPM. Then plug the other cable into the radio and run it to the CVPM.

CVPM Install:
Remove the passenger side kick panel and install the CVPM. You can hook up all the cables. The CVPM is labeled for the different cameras. Then hookup the wiring harness and run it over to the fuse box. Make sure to plug it into one that comes on with remote start.

AlfaODB Changes:
You will need an MX+ or switch the cables around. Again, I am not going to go into this as there is information about it already.

VehConfig 1: Rear View Camera- NO
VehConfig 2: CHMSL Camera- NO
VehConfig 7: Full Central Vision Processing Present- YES
ECUConfig 3: Rear Camera Present- NO
Radio & Connectivity: Rearview Camera Zoom Buttons Present- YES
Radio & Connectivity: Surround View Camera On/Off Softkey Present- YES
CustSetMenu 1: Rear View Camera Gridlines CSM Present- NOT PRESENT
CustSetMenu 1: Rear Camera CSM Present- NO
CustSetMenu 2: Rear View Camera Delay CSM Present- NO
CustSetMenu 2: Surround View Camera Gridlines CSM Present- YES
CustSetMenu 2: Surround View Camera Delay CSM Present- YES
Cabin Net: CVPM Central vision processing- ENABLE

Once you do this, you should be able to at least see the front and rear cameras in the surround view display. You will now need to calibrate the surround view cameras. This is what you need the MX+ for. You'll have to calibrate the cameras when you're done. Find an area that you can drive straight at about 4mph for about 400'. Connect to the CVPM in the radio module list. Run the camera calibrations individually for each camera.

Enjoy your new camera system. If you have questions, please post them in here. If I get more time, I will add more details. If anyone has more details to add, let me know and I will add them.
Following. Great help for us all.

I can confirm you will need 68451000AE in order to calibrate 360 with the new power folding tow mirrors on a 21 and older with UC4. 68318033AD would not take the calibration. I'm up and running now.

Thanks everyone!

I'm in the middle of making this upgrade, and I cannot tell where the CVPM should be installed. I'm looking under the passenger side, and I thought it would be obvious. But somehow, I'm not seeing it. The module is actually larger than I expected. Anyone have a picture or advice?

Anyone run into an issue selecting camera views after the swap? My buttons for the different views no longer work. Camera still functions, just can't select anything other than what it defaults to in reverse. Weird, because it did work. Also get a black screen when I hit the back cam button while moving and all my apps at the bottom have vanished when in camera mode.

Edit- looks like the entire top half of the screen won't respond to touch when in camera mode. Can't even hit the X. Lower half works fine and the screen responds in all other modes. Thinking UC4 issue? May need to roll back to 37 from 39?

Thanks! I've only got to install rear camera and CVPM, and calibrate, and it should be up and running. Fingers crossed. Two of the mirrors I got from ebay were in pretty rough shape, but hopefully the cameras work. I guess I'll find out tomorrow!

I notice the CVPM uses "right" and "left" instead of "driver" and "passenger." Based on labeling inside the door panels, I'm assuming right=driver and left=passenger.

Sitting in the driver's seat, left and right is your left and right.

I've got the cameras and CVPM installed. All the cameras work. Calibration has been difficult.

Rear, front and left cameras are calibrated. Rear camera calibrated on first try. Front took a few tries. Left took forever. Haven't had success with right yet. If anyone has any tips for calibrating these cameras, they would be greatly appreciated!

Manufacturer recommends "parking lot environment." I've found speedbumps to be a problem, particularly with left and right cameras, which seemed to fail as I went over speedbumps. Also, had trouble finding parking lot with long enough straight-away and empty enough that I wasn't a nuisance driving back and forth at <8mph.

I did discover an onboard calibration function on my UC5. If I had the cameras active when I hit "start" in Alfaobd, I got this screen:
20230116_153208.jpg
It monitored that I was driving straight and fast enough for the test. The arrows refer to the individual cameras. So, in the above test, the rear camera was already calibrated and not tested, so it's a black arrow. The left camera failed, so it became a red arrow. The front camera (finally) passed during this test, and it became a green arrow, and the right camera was being testing when I took the photo, so it's yellow. It eventually turned red during this test.

If I turned the wheel too much, the steering wheel icon turned red, and the green play button would turn into a red pause button. The other green box is a speedometer icon, and if I got below 2mph, it would turn red.

A thought I just had: I wonder if it would be better to drive through the parking spaces instead of roadway. That would theoretically give the cameras more lines on the ground to pick up.

It might be difficult to find a place to test this during the day on a Tuesday.

For the camera calibrations, I’ve found that the environment doesn’t really matter, but just go as slow as possible before it’s too slow for the calibration, and just do individual cameras (instead of the all uncalibrated cameras option).

Just ran all my BCM configs again, went back to 39.7, recalibrated the cameras, and I still can't get the camera portion of UC4 to interact now. Can't change views, zoom, or hit the X. Interestingly when I rolled back the BCM config I could at least hit the X and clear it out without any CVPM settings enabled. I put it back and now I get nothing from the screen.

At a loss. All the soft keys worked prior to the new CVPM and calibration. I'll keep playing with it, but wanted to see if anyone has any more thoughts. The CVPM seems to be doing it's job and I still get the 360 view, I just can't interact with my 12.1 to change anything from their default view.

Edit- perhaps a BCM conflict with the new 21 cvpm? Wouldn't be the first time I've run into issues with 2021 equipment on a 2020 truck caused by that firmware.

Have a doubts about BCM conflict, as long @Toperz have no problems with 68318033AE on 21RAM. I believe 20 and 21 have the same radio with U4.
