Growling brakes in Reverse!

Just an update I had mine done 3 weeks ago and so far all is good. Thank you @RamCares for expediting the issue I had for over a year. Truck runs great now.

My 19 with 5k miles just started doing this in the morning. What’s the solution?

I too, have the noise coming from my rear brakes. So embarrassed to be driving a vehicle this expensive, yet sounds like my first car that was $300.00(yes I'm old). I had it in at the dealer for another issue and they pretty much told me that there is nothing they could do, because the problem will return. The advisor I dealt with said that FCA is aware of the problem but no fix. I told him about the TSB that was out and I was pretty much blown off. Glad that there are dealers that are on top of this and listen to customers, but mine seems to not care.

Hey @ray730 - this is not the experience we expect for our customers. If you are willing to try and address this with your dealer or work with a different local dealer instead, I am more than happy to escalate a case on your behalf to provide you and your dealer with an additional layer of support for that process. Our team is just a PM away.

I have a 2019 Ram Lamarie, I've got the same issue. It's been in the shop a couple times last summer right after I bought it. and they tell me it's because of dust and dirt. I've left the shop went to the car wash and same issue. It's more like a harmonic vibration

@RamCares I have been waiting since January of this year for parts to do this TSB on my truck. Can I get some assistance with this please? The last time I called the dealership they said they did t even think FCA was making any of these brake kits to ship out.

I'm sorry to hear your dealer has not been able to sort out this concern, @sssjones. If you would be interested in following up with me via private message, I would be more than happy to learn more about your most recent experience addressing this to determine how to best assist at this point.

i have complained about this at every service appointment on my wifes 2019 Limited since we bought it in November of 2018. I am going to take a copy of the bulletin I found on this thread with me to the service I have scheduled next week.

My 2019 had this sound. I only notice, on a cold morning and last just a few seconds. My solution was backing up to the garage door. Now when I leave the house at 5 am there’s no noise. Haven’t had a problem with it since.

My 2019 RAM 1500 Laramie Longhorn Crew Cab short box has an annoying growl coming from the brakes as I slowly back out of my driveway and then tap the brake pedal. This is loud and makes it sound as if the rotors are stuck or the emergency brake is on. What the hell is this? I mentioned this to a Service Writer at my dealership and he casualty put me off with "yeh I have other owners saying this is happening and maybe FCA will issue a recall to fix it". That's a dumb answer. I will speak to the Service Manager tomorrow to elevate this. Seems like every week brings a new problem on this $65K+ rig?
I’m having the same problem with my 2020 limited and they are saying that they have fixed this issue with the 20s and they refuse to fix it and keep saying nothing is wrong. The noise is annoying and not something you expect from a 90,000$ truck. I dunno what to do

My 2019 does it in the winter months, but when I use auto parking brake, it won't make a sound. 🤔

There is a fix for this where the dealer installs anti moan brackets on the rear calipers. I just had this done and it fixed my brake moan problem.

Hi @Kilo and @KcRay !
