FitCamX dashcam

When you take stock housing off, you will take top pieces off first. They just pull off, kind of hard. For the bottom piece, reach in from nowmopen area above mirror and push this tab to the side to pop the trim off. It will then pull down. PXL_20230611_015247923~2.jpg

Screen shot of camera image from my phone. Don't mind the garage. I am just holding the rear camera to see how it displays.

My tracking shows it is in the area at the USPS. Might get it Monday.

All set and installed. Took just about 30 mins total to install front and run rear cam. I am coming from a BlackVue setup which I did love, but it was older and I wanted something much easier to plug in and go. Also, having the direct WiFi connection works very good with the FitCamX compared to the BlackVue.

I just ordered one from the website. I got 6% off (I have no idea why 6%), and free shipping. Slow boat from China, probably. Oh well. I have been driving more as of late and I see a lot of asshats on the road. Just in case something happens, I want video proof. (y)

Finished installing today of routing cable for rear camera. Went down passenger slide of headliner. Pretty easy, only panel In popped loose was the upper panel in rear corner of cab to stash the extra cable. One t20 torx screw behind he airbag cover and it popped off.

Looks good. Did you end up losing FM reception?

Will take a few hours for the HD to process for full quality. YouTube is stupid like that, but Facebook totally kills qualtiy

Still looks pretty good regardless.

Thanks for the pics. What's with the square hole on the upper right of the lens for? And is it noticeable from the outside?

Having never noticed that cut out either I got in my truck this morning to leave and the first thing I did was reach up to see if it was there lol. Yes the cutout is there. Don't know why but it is there

Tracking shows mine is out for delivery so i should get it anytime now, hopefully. Did you use the SD card it came with or something larger? Did anyone figure out what the largest card that can be used safely is?

I can't definitively answer how big a card it can take, but the one I got has a 128 GB card. It currently has 1,027 video files on it (each is 1 minute long). That's over 17 hours of video footage. I don't personally see a need for anything larger than that. If something happens to my truck, I'll be pulling that video long before it recycles the video file.

I left the card it came with in it for now, but I have a Samsung 128gb card I will swap in because it should be a better card for 4k video. And I only bought it s couple months ago for my old dash cam.

It might be for a sensor that we don't have

Just a follow-up... finished installing 2 systems, 1 front camera only and the other-the dual setup... As far as loosing FM or interference --- all good on both vehicles... Will continue to test
