Any news yet on power fold for Tow Mirrors?

My donor mirrors have heat and memory. If I recall correctly memory isn't mirror specific but heat is.

For All interested I just replaced my standard mirrors that had all features except 360 degree camera. (Power folding, Blind spot, puddle light, heat, memory ect) with the part numbers

All features seem to work except (memory) although I never knew how to get it to work for old mirrors either so it could work just don't know how to test. You lose auto dimming if you go to tow mirrors which sorta sucks but the power fold works!!!

What ram do you have? Mopar says does not fit 2020, only 2021 and up. Is there a difference

All the dt (new style) are same. 19 and 20 will most likely have to change the door module as well.
68446968aa, 68446969aa are black power fold, heat, memory, aux back up light and dimmers. Tow mirrors
68446970aa and 68446971aa are chrome version.

Memory is 100% mirror specific

If you want to install the 2021 power fold tow mirrors with cameras, running lights and trailer spot lights on any 2019+ 5th gen 1500, and have all the features work correctly, you will need driver door module 68517699AA, and passenger door module 68517698AA. All circuits are the same, and these modules have the port for the third green mirror connector that carries the running lights and trailer spot lights wires.
The settings changes are:
Doors: Power Folding Mirrors Present- YES
Doors: Tow Mirrors Present- YES
Doors: Mirror Running Lights- YES
Doors: Mirror Rear Guidance Lights- Yes
CustSetMenu 3: Rear Cargo Guidance Lights Enable/Disable CSM Present- YES
If your truck originally came with auto dimming mirrors, change these settings:
Doors: Electro-Chromatic Driver Mirror Present- NO
Doors: Electro-Chromatic Passenger Mirror Present- NO
If you have a 2021 with standard power folding mirrors, and you want to swap in the fully loaded tow mirrors, you already have the correct door modules, and you’ll make the same changes as above (power folding mirrors will already be set to yes).

Do you have a menu item in the radio settings under lights (I think) to toggle on the rear guidance lights?

No menu item under lights. Confirmed it was enabled CustSetMenu 3: Rear Cargo Guidance Lights Enable/Disable CSM Present- YES.

Can confirm. Finally got mine in today and the only things not functioning currently are the running lights and trailer lights. Giving the bcm some time to reset.

Can you guys connect to the radio module (2017 radio navigator in the list) and perform reset ECU three times, waiting for the radio to reboot each time. Then see if you have the toggle for rear guidance in the radio settings. That green connector on the driver side mirror had 4 wires, correct?

Have two sets(color matching one), here's the harness. Four wires. I can also verify 4 wires on the signal marker if needed since I had mine off to swap to switchbacks. Attempted a total of 4 resets without luck. Strange that I don't have at least running lights. Thought those were a given on these dt trucks with tow mirrors once flipped on in settings?

yes 4 wire. connected to the Radio Module and performed the eco reset 3 times. still no joy.

Have you driven yours much since the changes? Mines been in the garage without any miles or key cycles. Looking at the connectors on dcctools there should be signals avaible to the new door module to enable these features. Perhaps a bcm update? I haven't been into the dealer in over a year.

I have been driving it, probably 30 cycles. No Joy. I have a scheduled maintenance service next week, but am gonna have them see what's up.

Unfortunately, the switchback modules I build for the 4th gens won’t work on the 5th gens. There’s something different with the turn signal circuit, probably PWM, that causes the drop out to behave erratic.

The tech at the dealer was no help. his explanation is the mirrors are 2021, and will not work on the 2020. Even with updated door modules.

My dealer has also been no help. I have a ram 2021 bighorn night edition so everything seemed to work except when up in tow mode the button orientation isn't correct. Need to fix the settings
