Any news yet on power fold for Tow Mirrors?

Did you ever pull the trigger on these?

I think those part numbers are the black mirrors, not the chrome. I found the below part numbers in an older message that are supposedly chrome, but when I search any of the parts sites it never mentions the color. Anyone know how to tell for sure?

68446970AA and 68446971AA Chrome mirrors?
68517699AA Driver door module
68517698AA Passenger door module
68262252AC Door switches and bezel
Yes. Finally got them in last week. I got black ones 68446968aa and 69aa. Power fold, memory, backup light. They supposed to have auto dim but can not get that part to work. I did have to upgrade the door modules as well even though I have a 2021. But did not have power fold. The backup only works with cargo light at moment, doesn't want to come on with reverse. The 70 and 71 are chrome version of mine. They do not have blind spot or camera.

My 2020 Bighorn already has the body color power folding mirrors. What do I need to buy to get the power folding Tow Mirrors? Anything besides the actual Power Tow Mirrors needed or are they plug and play? I do not have blind spot monitor option but I do have the defrost. Also what is the part number for the power tow folding mirrors?
68446968aa 68446969aa are black power fold, memory, heat, rear guidence light, w/o blind spot and camera. 68446970aa and 71aa are the chrome version. For you year of truck you will have to hard wire the rear guidence light and running light if you want those.

@Jimmy07 Always thank you for sharing your knowledge. Were you able to get the answer(19/20 ram rear guidance lights & mirror running lights) from alfaobd developer yet?

I have a backcountry that came with power folding regular mirrors. If I ordered the power folding tow mirrors would they be plug and play since I already have the power fold

It will be plug and play but rear guidance lights & mirror running might not working.

Hi All,
I have 2020 Rebel, currently have regular tow mirrors, 12 inch radio that I installed with much appreciated help of this forum.
Would like to have: Power fold black tow mirrors(no cameras) and if possible blind spot warning system. What do i need to accomplish this, and what are the part numbers? I did search on this thread and there are many different part #s for black power fold tow mirrors. I need to be sure before ordering. Thank you
Infotainment sells the kit for $3k, I was wondering how much money can be saved by buying parts and installing by myself.

For All interested I just replaced my standard mirrors that had all features except 360 degree camera. (Power folding, Blind spot, puddle light, heat, memory ect) with the part numbers

68448077aa
68448076aa

All features seem to work except (memory) although I never knew how to get it to work for old mirrors either so it could work just don't know how to test. You lose auto dimming if you go to tow mirrors which sorta sucks but the power fold works!!!
Hi, Are these part numbers for black tow mirrors?

After some searching I was able to determine part #s
1. door switch and bezel 68262252AC
2. door module, R 68517698AA
3. door module, L 68517699AA

now there are 2 mirror part numbers, does anybody knows the difference between 68446968AA and 68448077AA ? thanks

Did those part #s come with the actual mirrors and front plastic covers?
I'm reading descriptions of the part #s on the diagram and they're saying part #1 only and the rest is listed separately.

Yes, it's all complete, the entire mirror, with lane change warning triangle and LED back up light,

@merdas, if you don't have blind spot capability with your current mirrors, I think you also have to replace the tail lights since the sensors are located inside them. And you'd have to have the BCM reprogrammed either by the dealer or with AlfaOBD.

I'm not 100% sure, but you may want to double check.

No, I do not want blind spot capability now, but it's there if I change my mind in the future. The little triangle on the mirror will not bother me at all,

Hi, anybody know how to activate mirror running lights and LED back up lights on 2020 Rebel?
I Installed the power fold mirrors yesterday, new modules, they work fine except back up light and running lights,
Anybody, anything?

Thanks for the updates Merdas. I just placed my order for my truck. For clarifcation for others, I have a 2019 Ram limited 1500, that came with trailer tow mirrors. I've ordered an OBDLink MX+, and plan to use my laptop to connect to it via bluetooth. Here's the part numbers I ordered:

The mirrors I ordered are the chrome version. They should come next weekend, and hopefully I'll have time to install them then. I'll update when I do.

I have a similar list for a 2019 1500 Quad Cab that came with manual tow mirrors. Have not completed install yet, waiting on parts. Will post-up results. Hopefully knockoff mirrors are going to work out at 1/2 price.

Realize this thread kinda morphed from a power trailer tow mirrors in 2021 thread to how to retrofit….

After reading all threads, am I correct that even 2021+ Big Horns you cannot have factory power fold towing mirrors?

You are required to have Laramie trim or higher for this?

Had also hoped reading thru this I might see that power folding regular mirrors on big horn would be a plug n play swap for the power fold tow mirrors but this entire thread and part numbers and BLIS doesn’t work or marker lights might not work is a huge downer. I like DIY but not like this. May have to just buy the trim level that has what I need. Big Horn is perfect except for these power folding tow mirrors, if indeed you cannot spec them on the Big Horn trims!

Just finished up install this morning after waiting for a warm spell here in PA. No real install issues, after first door was a breeze to install. The programming was even easier, plugged in security override and then the programmer, waited for the green light, works just like factory (even better that it was cheaper than a setup through Infotainment or Ram). Will see what the long term is, but for now, happy with an easy project done.

There you go:
Just put these on yesterday. Love them. I have the tow mirrows.

So I'm pretty familiar with what's required to swap out Non-Power Folding Tow mirrors on a '19 Ram 1500, to aftermarket Power Folding Mirrors. This I did about a year ago....however I totaled my truck recently, and am looking at options for another RAM. Things have changed since then it appears.

I'm looking at a used '19 Ram Limited with the 360Surround View standard mirrors, but would love to upgrade to the Power-Fold Tow Mirrors with 360Surround View. It sounds like from this tread, the '21 mirrors are compatible with the '19-20's? If all functionality of the newer tow mirrors are the same (360Surround, Power Folding, etc) as the standard mirrors, would this essentially be a swap of mirrors and that's it? No programming?

TIA
To have 360Surround View on 19-20Ram with tow mirrors, You need to swap Module-Surround Camera Processor 68318033 to 68451000AC.

Can I circle back to this list? Can you follow up and tell me exactly what options these mirrors have now that you've installed them? There's a ton of back and forth and I can't find the resolution? Also, where are you sourcing your parts? Prices are all over the place.
