8.4" to 12.1" screen replacement

i did this conversion from 8.4 non nav to 12.1. everything works except the ac and heater don't blend . its either hot or cold. is everyone else experiencing this? Is there a fix?

Yes, give the truck a couple hours… the modules are still syncing with each other.

Hey guys been following the thread! LOTS of info! Sooo I have a 2021 Ram Laramie with an 8.4 W/NAV.. did the repin, installed and used the OBDMX+ with alphaOBD, changed the ICS(CENTERSTACK) to Disable And the DCSD To ENABLE.. now i gotta wait a couple hours? Or do i disconnect the battery and reconnect and wait? RIGHT NOW... BACK UP CAMERA.. XM ANDRIOD AUTO and Volume and Tune buttons DO NOT work. My clock/time is not synced with my GPS...

Disconnect the battery and wait for 15 minutes, then reconnect it. Then the “couple hours” starts…

Ok i let my truck sit for about an hr i had to go run an arrand but i did not disconnect the battery after the bcm reprogram. During that drive time i noticed the knobs work, xm works( but not subscribed although i am paying for a plan) AND the back up camera does not work.. and ANDROID AUTO gives me Communication Error 8

You have to call SiriusXM and tell them that you replaced your radio and give them your new radio ID. They will send you a refresh signal and XM should work.

Nope.. EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS now.. ANDRIOD AUTO works too.. i did a HARD RESET on the BCM with AlfaOBD.. reprogrammed BCM with the new settings for ICS(disabled) and DCSD(enabled) let yhe truck sit for a day and it all works EXCEPT the backup cam.

NOTE..... backup cam ONLY works if i put it in reverse within the first 5 seconds of turning on the truck or before pressing the "ACCEPT button"**SOMETIMES**.... sooooo the truck reads it and it knows its there... but I HAVE NO IDEA why it doesnt work. If i press the backup cam app i juat get a blue screen. Maybe its a sync/waiting game?? Can anyone chime in?

This guy was saying something about it’s the module that we have to get a different one for the 2021 I have the same year 2021 and im having the same problem but in mine I just get a blue screen when I click on the camera app but it doesn’t activate when I put it in reverse at all

Check out my pics... within 5sec if dont turn it on via remote start... i can drive it in reverse for an hour and it will work.. but once i put it in drive it wont work for that key cycle. MAYBE it might later on HOPEFULLY

Could be just wait it out this here is mine you can see the reverse is on but it doesn’t even come on and when I click on the app it shows a blue screen

Double check module part you got its definitely different then 19-20. Mine swap works with no problems. I got this:

The one that i have is 68317978AL and everything work with no problem at all like the buttons work fine and didn’t have to wait either or anything but the only problem was the camera

Maybe recheck connections, I had small issue(don't remember what) but one of the plugs were not pushed in fully.

Well I haven’t got back I rechecked everything on the 68317978AL module and I had it for 2 weeks and nothing with my back up camera I order the 68472372Al as I mention to you what someone said and when I changed it every worked quick like less then 10 mins my back up camera was working in reverse and thru the app on the screen I can say it was a successful working mod what about you have you got it to work good?

That was my problem I had the wrong module but now that I got the right one it work right up straightforward like you said mine was less then 10mins

yours works in 19-20 and I had to buy this one that is only for 2020 what will be the difference apart from the price
