8.4" to 12.1" screen replacement

Anyone in SA, Texas area trying this, I’m willing to find time to do the programming side of it. And get me jumping on some info/answers for others here on other stuff.

Warning: WiTECH does track things done through its system. I’m a ‘dealer’ but aftermarket so be aware of possibility of warranty issues may arise down the line if dealer is picky enough.

Not sure. But ive head that cable is a pain to find

No, 2 different 8.4s altogether. Plus you need Navi/sat module and cable.

Has anyone just plugged in the 12 in screen to the existing 8.4 with nav cabels? If so what worked and what didnt

Even if it is already a nav 8.4 module. I thought i read that he volume n tune hard knobs didnt work only

You have to change the module and everything should work but the volume and tune knop from what others have said

i contacted a company they said in the next few weeks they would be carrying both the monitor and the module together. process range was 1300 to 1800$ i guess ill wait and see

Thank you very much. Here is a picture of the two plugs.

Heres a picture. The yellow finger indicated what plugged back into the new 12 inch nav. That last plug had nowhere to go, and thats why im guessing the screen doesnt work as it should. Spoke to an audio guy who is going to work on it for me. He said he needs to see what the harness looks like in the trucks that come with this screen as a stock and he will go from there

That is the hazard and knob controls you can see the blue tape

Biggziggie, can you post a picture of the plug and the jack that you couldn't get to connect? I'm going to try and track down some diagrams and see if the plugs are different part numbers.
