I don't do this I have the 12 " but this is the difference in the 8 pin plugs

Or is this just to get the 4ways to work and knobs?

Everything is the same the 8 pin plug has to be repinned so all the buttons work.

Make sure you get the module that is correct for the screen you are upgrading to

8.4 no nav is one piece
8.4 Nav is two pieces
12.1 two pieces

TTHe module for the 8.4 nav and 12.1 is different

Pics are of the plug that needs rewired and the cable you will need if you don’t have nav first if you have nav your truck will have that connector. I was told the 12.1 module will be available by the end of February with unlockable code

I have been trying to follow the thread but its 10 pages long. So if I have the 8.4 w/nav in order to change to the 12, I need the screen and make sure the module comes with it?

Typically sellers are selling just the screen only. The module is separate.
