8.4" to 12.1" screen replacement

So I’d have to ask them to see if my level truck was offered with auto temp? I know it did not come with it originally. Could I figure that out somehow with my vin? Is there anyone in the forum that could look that up? Anyone dealer affiliated here?

What trim level is your truck? For example, a tradesman can not be optioned with automatic climate controls, therefore the sales code for ATC will not be a selectable option to add when trying to add it with their scan tool. There’s no way to know for sure what sales codes can be added until the dealer’s scan tool is hooked up to your truck.

I have a big horn

You can try. I’m not sure if the 12” radio is an option on the big horn. You gotta deal with scheduling an appointment, and paying for them to try whether it works or not, which is probably an hour of labor. You’re better off just getting AlfaOBD right off the bat.

You're going to pay the dealer anyway. Why wouldn't you just go ahead and get AlfaOBD? It will only take minutes for you to program it and you have the software to do any future projects you want with it. It's a win-win imo.

Anyone in Connecticut already do this that wants to make a few bucks helping me?

IDK, i'm trying to think what can cause a comm time out. If you can get there without the bypass, that means that the bypass is used to get you behind this point.

What bypass should I get?

You use this and plug the MX to the OBDII
BTW, do you have a Tazer by any chance?

No, I don’t have a tazer man

Did you change all the numbers to match my screenshot in post 498 (except for com port). Can we get a pic of that bypass plugged into the two junction blocks.

@Jimmy07, matched all of yours minus the baud rate and address since they are grey’ed out. Let me get a picture of my bypass connections
