I don’t know if I had lucky but I bought I UC5 12.1 screen I bought all connectors because I used to have UC4 8.4 non nav … the thing is I didn’t change anything in alpha OBD and I soon as I putted ignition on the radio started and everything worked great , ac, cam etc but the only thing is the radio profile is locked .. my question is how can I reset the radio… View attachment 186030View attachment 186031

There is no "P" in front of the number, otherwise correct.

Thanks! I bought a setup from theramguy and ordered the harnesses off ebay. I should have the screen in a day or so and the harnesses by Saturday. Looking forward to the swap and hoping it goes smooth

Hopefully somebody can help me out. I just upgraded from the 8.4 to 12.1 screen. The screen is on and everything works but I can get past the anti theft code. I purchased a code from the site on here everyone has recommended but when I enter the code, it says incorrect code entered. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong as far as inputting the code or maybe they sent me the wrong code. Is there a way to retrieve the code using alphaobd?

Just make sure you get the correct S/N off your radio module. Cost me $20, but well worth it in my opinion and VERY happy with the upgrade thus far. I also upgraded to Uconnect5.

I just finished this upgrade and it worked out great. I swapped from a non nav uconnect 4 8.4 inch screen to a 12 inch uconnect 5 on my 21 Laramie. I bought a uconnect 5 screen, radio module and the below harness adapter kit from ebay. This was pretty straightforward and painless. Hardest part was getting the connectors off my existing 8.4 inch display.

You have a 2019. You need to connect to a 2019 DT body computer, not to a 2017 like post #308 says. Did you checked your re-pin of the connector back of the screen?

I did the 2019 DT. I bought the repin harness from Jimmy07.
I don’t even know what to check or where to start troubleshooting. The only other people with this issue had ancient software versions and they updated to 39.7.
But I’m already on 40.1.
Can I go backwards?

No going back in software. I would check all the connectors that they are all seated firmly. You can try to disconnect the battery again and see if the systems comes back on.

So after purchasing all the items needed im deciding to not do the swap after all and I am selling all the components as a bundle. The only things not included that I know of are going to be the center bezel due to it being trim specific and there are so many combinations and the software to reconfigure the system for installation. The screen is a new in the box from Mopar, not one from a donor vehicle. ( it's stilll in bubble wrap, a brand new module from Mopar that is the navigation one with connector harness. Th enable for your Sirius xm satellite radio, the odd genie for th software connection, the infotainment security bypass, the little rubber insert for the top of the bezel and some mounting clips. You may need to purchase more clips for th install. I also purchased a set of screws that another member stated he used which was a license plate mounting kit, so I will throw that in also. $1600 plus th cost of shipping to your destination. I got tired of trying to find the right bezel and after ordering two separate ones and them both not being the right ones, I got frustrated and decided it's not for me to do. I have the receipts for the brand new parts from Mopar and that alone is more than the price I'm asking.

Situation as follows: I have a 2020 Big Horn and upgraded 8.4 WITH Nav to the 12.1 screen from a 2019. (Believe everything is UC4?)
Have a Tazer DT acting as my sgw bypass- using a OBD MX+ as a dongle and have Enabled ICS on AlfaObd under the config changes BCM menu.
Black screen and radio buttons inop- as is hazard button. AC controls operate as they should and steering wheel works radio functions as designed. I have read that system sometimes takes time to recognize and have been driving truck all day without change. I have not attempted to disconnect battery- as it seems many didn't do this step, could this be what am I missing?
Is the rewire necessary when swapping screen and keeping original OE 8.4 Nav module.
I'm a newbie to the whole AlfaOBD thing, and making config changes (nerveracking)
If the harness is required- I'll order one- but seems my reading leads me to believe that is only needed when coming from non-nav. Am I wrong, or just being impatient.

You cannot keep your 8.4 radio module for the 12.1 screen. You need the 12.1 radio module, 68317978ai, re-pin the connector or get the adapter harness from @Jimmy07 and a new LVDS cable for the screen.

Just to confirm- new module and repin. But new module will retain nav and full function?!

Yes, Just like OEM. Did My upgrade from 8.4 to 12.1 2 years ago.
