8.4" to 12.1" screen replacement

Hey guys sorry if you answers this already. Im new to the forums. I just purchased a 2022 1500 Ram big horn with the 8.4 unconnect5 with nav. dual passenger climate with no lane assist. i also want to convert to an 12 inch screen. Ive seen post about 2019-2021 rams. Maybe im just overlooking the thread for 2022 compatibility. Has anybody with a 2022 1500 ram did this upgrade? thanks in advance.

You are in the wrong spot for this. they made a section for the Uconnect 5 stuff. if you back out of this area, you'll see a spot for the next gen uconnect stuff. Just remember that 22 will need the next gen of parts.

Well it's very simple we have enough people that actually need the obd genie to get the 12" working we can get together a few of us buy it together and share it between us I'm willing to be the one to put the money and pay for it

No need. Alfaobd is a much better and cheaper option

If adding a 12” screen to a truck without dual zone ac/heat, will it the hvac still work or do you have to add the stuff for dual zone for the heat/ac to work?

If you have AUTO Climate it will work with 12” screen, if Manual - you need add some sensors and harness.

Help...ok maybe I should start with thanks. Reading through this thread, I have finally punched the buttons and upgraded my 2021 Laramie with the 12" UAX radio. Used Alphaobd to program it. Initially the backup camera was the only thing that worked. After programming, is now the only thing that doesn't. When I go into reverse, no camera at all. When I use the backup camera icon, i.just get a blue screen. Did I burn out something or is there a step I'm missing? I followed the guide on post 319 to setup Alphaobd. if there is another step please point me in the right direction. Miss the camera, but loving the new screen.
