Tungsten Shipments have begun!

8/9 - 13 Tungstens
13 Being Built, Sale Pending

8/10 - 15 Tungstens
13 Being Built, Sale Pending
2 Being Built

8/14 - 18 Tungstens
16 Being Built, Sale Pending
2 Being Built

8/16 - 19 Tungstens
13 Being Built, Sale Pending
2 Being Built
4 In Transit, Sale Pending

Edit: Latest VIN added to the list is 1C6SRFKP9SN569440. Looks like new additions to the short list of Tungstens are increasing in sequence based on VIN, roughly.
hey Pete, if you want to watch out for a limited with the last digits of the vin being 569101, I might have special interest in that one. lol 😂

my order went in well after all of you guys, but holy cow.... 602007... if these are sequential, I'm in for a long long wait.

no worries VINs have not seemed to be built sequentially so far at least up to this point anyway. it may have something to do with trying to clear the really old sold orders first is all.
just a guess but I wouldn't read anything into sequential numbers right now until it becomes more evident. weeks ago, they were building trucks that had vins higher than mine. I just posted that for Pete because my truck has a supposed ship date of 9/6 according to dealer. so, I would think it should be hitting production pretty soon here if that holds true.

I do think VINs are assigned sequentially. However, yours being 602007 vs mine 569600 (forget last 2 digits) does NOT mean that there are 3000+ Tungstens between ours. It just means that there were 3000+ total trucks between ours.

Of those 3000, many were likely Big Horn, for example, and have been made/shipped/sold.

There are a small number of Tungstens in there, and even a smaller number of sold order Tungstens (which take priority).

It reality, there may be fewer than 100 Tungstens before yours.

I looked at the Limiteds with 6'4" sale pending that are in production/trainsit. Assuming they'll be batching those, the VINs I found were:

569227 - MSRP 89,675 (assume Limited A)
569407 - MSRP 86
587555 - MSRP 84
596893 (not a typo - it's 596) - MSRP 92 (assume Limited A)

That said, I'd call your dealer and have them contact their rep considering you have higher VINs in production already. Mine just did and everything is good with my order... just playing waiting game.

There’s hope! That’s much better, and it makes sense. Thanks again

The 596893 truck is mine. I ordered it from MD a couple weeks after I had placed an identical order with a local dealer. The local order is still “scheduled” but the MD order has rushed right on through production. Still says it won’t ship until Oct 23 but at least it’s going.

Got an update and maybe an answer for the weird way they are doing things. Dealership said my truck from JS storage and is now at the body vendor. I think based off of this they go JS between stages to wait their turns.

I think this should be the last stage? Or maybe the emissions is? But getting closer and closer. Feels like they went with the whole "Slow is smooth and smooth is fast" concept. Hopefully it relates to quality being better as well.

Yeah I probably should have gone with Mark Dodge. Even with a plane ticket and the gas to get from LA to PA it was $1,500 cheaper. I was just a little hesitant since they're so far from me. Next truck order is being placed with them for sure.

They obviously do serious volume, and it seems as though their trucks get preferential build dates as well. That’s the only way I can explain why and identical truck ordered through them two weeks after the one from my local dealer is already being produced and the one from my local dealer is not. I saved a ton of money going through them as well.

Not to mention that your VIN is the outlier - the truck was obviously ordered WAY after the other sold ones that are in production.

They used to go straight from production to the body vendor. Looks like yours is going there for the spray in liner and bed step install (based on your signature).

I'm unaware of an emissions stage, typically trucks are shipped right out or go to the body vendor then shipped. But as we've seen, this has been anything but typical...

Hopefully it won't be long now!
