How do you know it updated? AFAIK I’ve never gotten an update.
one way is i noticed parksense on off on touch screen at bottom way further away from plus minus on trailer brake buttons if you have that option. Trust me you will get it eventually its put out to certain regions of country at a time.

… what? I’m not sure what you’re talking about or to who.

This message popped up for me today. Has anyone else has this issue? It's coming up every time I start my truck now.

Let me decipher it for you:

One way I noticed the software was updated was the parksense on/off button at the bottom of the touch screen was moved. It is now way further way from the plus/minus trailer brake buttons. You have to have that option otherwise it won't be as apparent. You will eventually get the update if you haven't already. They put it out to certain regions of the country at a time as opposed to everyone getting it at the same time.

How do I know if I’ve gotten an update? I don’t think I’ve gotten any, except, I did recently notice my surround sound was off. Also, I go into update and hit start scan, but I feel like that’s only for scanning for WiFi (which I’m already connected to).

So I have 2 questions about the infotainment screen on these Ram's.
Is there an easy way to pause a currently playing podcast/audiobook/music without turning off the entire system? I know if you press the power button it will pause the music but it also shuts off the entire screen. Currently I have to go into the carplay screen to click the play/pause button. Is there another way to do it?

Same question for the climate control. There are physical buttons to turn the fan up/down and there's an "Auto" button but I don't know how to easily turn the system off without going into the climate screen. I do know that if you press the "Auto" button that will turn it on but not off.

I don't know the answer to that question. I was merely translating the other guys post.

Push the fan speed down button, it will go from 1 to off, if you hit again it goes back to 1.

Bro, you’ve got good input and lots of knowledge. Please take the time to share without us needing to interpret. We want your involvement but people will just ignore you if what you’re saying isn’t easily understood.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

My truck has a "mute button" on the left side and a "screen off button" on the right side and an "auto" button also!

edit: after reading your post again I realize this isn't what you were asking . my bad! lol seems I misunderstood!

I don’t wanna be “that useta guy” BUT, my F-150 useta have a hard button for pause under the infotainment🤷🏻‍♂️ I do miss that. I wonder if doing -Hey Ram, Pause music - would work…

Hardware buttons to turn stuff of/on and play/pause would be nice. On the Ford I literally never used any of those hardware controls under the screen but I used the on/off button and steering wheel skip forward/back buttons 50 times a day.

What does the middle button behind the left of the steering wheel do? Is that pause?

yea, I tried them and didn't like them. Seemed to go way to fast for the amount of rain. I have never had an issue turning the wipers on and controlling the speed myself.
If you turn the intermittent switch all the way down it won't go so fast as you decreased the sensitivity.

@RamCares maybe we can incorporate, into a software update, that the left, middle, behind the steering wheel button pauses CarPlay/Android auto? Since it’s for presets during radio and not used during CarPlay/Android auto. That would be a treat! (Although, the right side with volume makes more sense for a center pause button) Thanks in advance!

Edit: I just noticed in the manual that that button is mode specific so, I think that strengthens my case 😀
